Comprehensive Company Information, User-Friendly Interface, Time-Saving Research Tools, Valuable Industry Insights
Limited Private Company Data, Occasional Data Inaccuracies, Limited Geographical Coverage, Lack of Direct Salesforce Integration
Databook is a widely appreciated tool for gathering quick insights into public company data, particularly financial information, industry trends, and executive viewpoints. Users praise its ease of use, ability to generate concise summaries, and helpful executive point-of-view presentations. However, some users find the data on private companies less comprehensive and wish for more granular information on key stakeholders and their roles within organizations. While Databook excels at providing a high-level overview, some users desire more in-depth data and wish for better integration with CRM systems.

Databook saves me literally days of public documentation research to learn about my customers. The team is incredibly helpful and has added companies at my request.
Not a single thing. This is an essential tool to me.
Gathering insight on a company's Strategy, public statements, competitors, financial comparisons, key stakeholders and so much more
Using Databook for prospecting, researching accounts, public 10k/10qs, recent news, etc
Databook cuts down time on manual research hours by having it all at your finger tips
Building business cases/ROI utilizing our product features and databooks understanding of your offering will help with EB meetings
Keyword research on accounts that are key priorities that your tool can solve.
Main downside is having mid market accounts that aren't public accounts but private. Beyond that, it's an excellent tool.
Helping me build business cases for Executive buyers
Cutting down manual researching time to build out disco or demo decks
Its user friendly, and is concise. Databook makes reviewing the 10K/Annual reports much easier!
One of my Target Accounts isnt listed! OneMain Financial. https://www.onemainfinancial.com/
Not currently solving specific problems but making account planning easier.
I like the quick way in which I can download a full detailed document which provides insights on my customer , their business and the people.
Not much, I like quite a lot databook. I do use databook pretty often.i don't use customer support as often . It does not integrate into our salesforce platform easily
I am able to get insight into my customer , their needs and their finances in an easy to understand fashio
There is a lot of data for an account on record including internal news external news and the peer comparison is very helpful.
Databook's company executive/employees information is lacking. It would be great to have a built in org chart based on the contacts that are in the system.
Databook helps me create my account plan and keeps the information up to date. Instead of me searching through the internet for the same information, the information that I get from Databook is organized and easy to download.
Databook centralizes information that takes me, sometimes, hours of researching to find. It's a one-stop-shop for important customer information and it's accessible right at your fingtertips. It's made my job easier!
It's a little difficult to translate the financial savings into business impact for customers.
Saving time to focus on selling
I have been a long time Databook user and impressed by content driven by financial reports, but also the ability to go right to the key sections within my accounts publicily availalbe documents (ie 10K, Invester Call Notes, etc). Databook helps reduce the time it takes to research my clients and quickly uncover strategic priorities to help me create relevant and personal messaging.
The autogenerated documents are super nice!
The downside to Databook is that it is not as helpful if you are targeting privately held organizations. It would be nice if Databook could have a format for Public and Privately held organizations.
It would also be nice if Databook could have contact information as part of their offering. It would make for a nice one stop shop.
Outside of these two wishlist items, there really isn't much to dislike about Databook.
Databook significantly reduces the time to research a company and find valuable insights to sound credible when reaching out to an exec. This helps reduce the delay in engagement time.
'Premium Insights' with Databook offers a thorough analysis of every prospects' strategic priorities. Databook offers critical information about the key performance indicators of the company, management intent, industry insights and executive PoV's, among many other data points. This insight allows me to show up to every sales interaction with the data I need to be timely, industry specific, and relevant. This is a critical tool to function in my role.
This is nothing I dislike about Databook. Every enterprise sales organization looking to be innovative and deliver real insights/value to their market should own Databook. Databook will help augment sales leaders and individual contributors alike.
The most time-consuming part of my job is meeting preparation, and prospecting research. Thorough research, preparation, and industry insights are all crucial differentiators against 90% of other Account Executives. Databook allows me to cut my preparation and research time down by 75% so I can focus on other revenue-generating activities.
The insights and company strategies are great. Using this information, I have deeper insight into their intent as a company, and in the marketplace. One of the most valuable aspects are the alignment insights of our offers with the account, so far it's been spot on!
Would love to see location data on customer's locations of offices, manufacturing, warehouses, etc. With national accounts, many customers have locations all over North America. This would help in identifying the type of location and connecting our local resources to support the location more efficiently.
Insight, insight, insight... the one thing I have never had access to within our own company. In addition, having all the "chatter" from a company in one spot has really help to identify deeper initiatives without haveing to spend hours looking for annual reports and digging through them for little golden nuggets.

Data insights on buyer intents. Listing of data for competitors. Ranking of the company in view against its peers. Providing Roadmaps based on potential Use cases. Recommendations of independant research companies with relevant articles. This has helped me realise the ease of use and leads me to frequently use Databook for my role. Customer support is very prompt and knowledgeable to share the features and functionalities of Databook
The AI component on email auto-generation is weak - maybe possibility of integration with Salesforce or other Sales tools will help further.
Collection of Data needed for creating logical insights collated well under each account. This is helping me with my Job - sales - to understand client landscape and create a offering customised to their industry and competition.
