Its easy to assign and create training. Also Reports are really friendly to create and update as per the requirement.
Nothing such as. May be the ICON's of each option like manager, admin and learner need to be more attractive.
Instructor courses and Web based training's are really helpful to manage.
I love using this site because it gives me the opportunity to make better and more informed decisions
Not as In depth as other recruiting sites. There are small changes that could be made

Ease of use. It allows customization to a specific group inside of your company and automatic assignment to New Hires if you set up you Learning Plan to work with your security setups.
Not much that I dislike at all. Occassionally an issue may arise from the new features they add but they fix it pretty quickly. Advanced Reporting occassionally takes a long time to pull up.
Have your plan set on what you want to execute before you start your configuration. Knowing what you want to use it for completely before starting that path will make your life a lot easier and the product launch more successful for you.
We have external customers who use our system and they cannot have access to all of our training items so the security allows us to lock them to what we want them to have access to. I have also been able to add a Sister company to our LMS with absolutely no worry that they will see our top secret product training coulrses due to proper security setup.
Product: Ease of use; intuitive; export function for compensation and reviews
Customer Service: Top notch from first sales call to implementation - consistent attention to our needs and short timeframe for implementation - easy to reach someone who can help you.
Hard to find something not to like - really!
You will find lots of "press" on the Big Guys - Oracle (Fusion), SAP (SuccessFactors) and Workday - don't let it lull you into thinking they are better . . . we put these three and SumTotal through a rigorous and extensive RFP process. sumTotal was the only company that answered every question and actually looked at what business problems we were trying to solve vs. a canned sales pitch that the others tried to push on us. You will find that SumTotal has a superior user experience and it can be implemented without the use of 3rd party vendors (that alone saved us a lot of money!!). Their sales team, professional services, and customer support teams have been very responsive, collaborative, and efficient. They fulfilled every promise made during the proposal phase - way above expectations. And if you need to talk to a real person, their response is quick and direct. They don't shy away from customer contact - they excel at it.
Started out looking for a replacement for our performance review system and found SumTotal Systems and included them in the RFP. They beat out the "big boys" by trying to understand and solve our overall HR systems issues and presenting their Talent Management Suite as an end-to-end solution. And at the same cost for one module from the big competitors. We have completed our focal and compensation review for this year, and received rave reviews from employees and management all the way up to the executive suite - and that is no small task!
I liked the versatility that SumTotal provides its kind of impressive. It's very adaptable to various needs. Offers robust tools for learning management, performance tracking, and talent acquisition in one cohesive platform. I have Experienced it have user-friendly interface which standouts. Its implementation and integration are also quite easy which provides easy access for both administrator and employees.
I had been using SumTotal to learn business knowledge and domain knowledge by enrolling a course on SumTotal in our company portal. Tracking of course and my performance being easy in SumTotal so sure shot its good tool. It has helped me managing course content seamlessly so most of the time I use SumTotal as go to tool. Experience with SumTotal is nice as it provides good customer support also.
Customization in SumTotal is bit complex and it's some features are less intuitive. Its video player is something I dont liked as it feels laggy sometime.
SumTotal helped our organization by sorting out the messy bits in managing people at work. By puttign all the important things like learning, performance, and finfing new talent in one place, it makes things easier. For me, it means spending less time juggling tasks and more time focusing on helping organization grow and succeed. Its more clear that it benefits me as well as our organization for strean line process of talent management.
Development and Career growth tracking is one of the most downplayed things while working and a lot of employees do not tend to pay heed though it hits them in the end so talent management has made it easy for tracking goals.
There is not much to dislike about the tool, its user friendly and also a lot more to explore, probably there needs to be more documentation regarding this.
There is a lot more to be considered while using talent management. Old days used to have training courses when it comes to talent management and that showed progress in a very haywire manner and one could not even set realistic goals. This tool helps us set realistic goals that can be used to track progress during quarterly performance reviews.
Career growth, progression and also a lot more stuff can be tracked using talent management and there are more to it in terms of reporting and analytics which can be used to track career growth. In these times where reports and dashboards are more popular, this tool makes it easy for us to glance through an employee's career growth in one shot.
It was a great tool to integrate our health care electronic system with to receive fast validation whether or not a patient had healthcare coverage.
The latency at times would cause frustration to users as they became dependent on instant results.

We were working on a customized workflow and they were providing real time benefits to the pt and hospital.
Sumtotal is more customizable. Unlike, other LMS, we can customize the requirements. It is user friendly
The interface could be more better. Thats all.
We have used this for our LMS needs. This gave us an ability to host all of our basic courses made available to learners more easier and quicker.
Customer service of SumTotal Talent Management platform is awesome. There are some usage issues mainly due to lack of intuitive UI but that has been under overhaul currently, our concerns were always quickly heeded by their support team mainly based out of India location. Their India team is wonderful to work with and they tons of patience.
The hanging of the Ui when navigating from one feature to another, not intuitive enough when pop-ups are supposed to come up, the tab always opens up in a new window, and keeps on loading - it is not the network but something on the Sum total side which wasn't able to render the content. That led us to figure out other ways to make our content render on the pages. Also takes a lot of maintenance work to keep our content up to date. Overall impacts productivity.
Problems - E- learning for employees, Performance Management, Fill in activities performed and goals accomplished during a quarterly cycle. Career builder through predictive learning courses in the company.
Benefits is Single Sign on and SAML support but not much apart from that.
