Commerce Cloud provides a highly customizable e-commerce platform that combines the functions required for catalog management ,content configurations ,online shopping, order management and inventory management and provide solution for logistics management too.
-When we are working with different markets then its difficult to manage the markets on the different tabs basically it collides the data sometimes.
-User Interface is also not user friendly in Commerce Cloud.
The main benefit of using Salesforce Commerce Cloud is that I can operate my whole e-commerce business system from a single business manager (Demandware). It provides cloud based solution for my every catalog and content configuration in the form of data management.
We get a complete working B2C eCommerce website. We can take that as a reference and modify the user experience and user interface according to our needs. Just integrate a real payment gateway and the website is ready to launch.
The servers are strong enough to entertain large number of customers.
Closed source. Documentation is not so user friendly. Moved to new platform without informing. So many platforms and redirects to get to a particular page (this is for SFDC)
SFCC have out of the box solution implementation in place for a B2B eCommerce website.
Additionally we have numerous 3rd party integration cartridges for many features like payment, reviews, inventory, oms and many more.
This saves us a lot of time from implementing all the features from scratch.
Now we also have headless approach in which we can use SFCC as a backend and and host the frontend in any other platform. And both platforms communicate with each other through APIs.
The modern capabilities of SFCC along with the rich partner ecosystem makes it an ideal Commerce solution for enterprise customers.
There isn't much to dislike. The product roadmap overall solved a lot of CMS like capabilities that was lacking. But now, Managing content is a lot better in SFCC.
It's a modern solution that helps with the buying process. Integration into marketing and service helps create an end to end customer journey.
the flexibility, personalization, AI capabilities, and seamless omnichannel experience make Commerce Cloud a great choice for B2C commerce.
The main challenges relate to initial setup complexity, limitations for advanced B2B use cases, potential performance issues at high traffic volumes, and lack of control over updates.
Salesforce Commerce Cloud helps unify and personalize B2C shopping experiences across channels and devices. Its responsive design enables optimized mobile commerce. AI-driven personalization and recommendations boost conversion rates.
Centralized order management and customer data replaces fragmented systems, providing a single view of each customer across touchpoints. Automated order processing workflows also improve operational efficiency.
Robust content management, security features, and scalable infrastructure help deliver engaging, safe, and reliable customer experiences. By solving these pain points, Salesforce Commerce Cloud benefits B2C merchants with seamless omnichannel commerce personalized for higher sales and customer satisfaction.
Customisation is very good. It helps to make may types of permutations and combination.
UI is not that good. It could be better.
Pre defined base code.
Easy to store customer data base, easy to track sales and achivement, it gives proper dashboard.
Sometime dificult to manage Salesforce dashboard
It gives accurate data of customer, well designed dashboard
I like all the features which are really helpful and easier to build a effective E-commerce platform. The most likely features are content slot & promotions which are very easy to use. Apart from that i like third party features which are integrated to Salesforce B2C like review system, one ID for login, Olapic for Instagram gallery section. So those features are really great and also beneficial to QA point of view.
I don't think there is such thing which will be marked as dislike. But, we can improve the UX of Salesforce administration as my point of view.
I don't come across such any B2C problem but it must say that is very beneficial to configure all things in a very easy manner and deliver the work in the estimated deadline.
The best thing which I like in salesforce commerce for B2C is its integration, user-friendlynes in interface, and its scalability make it an ideal choice for businesses of different sizes.
It is very costly in comparison of other tools available in the market. Also it requires expertise in running the tool which takes time to get familiar with this tool.
It is helping in the expansion of our online business with wider range of audience. Also it helps in creating a mobile friendly shopping experience for the customers with help of its customisation, features.
What I liked the most is you get to see and store data in both business side and customer side, it also helps you identify areas of improvement. The best CRM so far very user friendly.
It not a dislike but I wish they can improve, For me they should have description added on each functionalities because if you are first time user you might get lost but it is easy to familiarize.
What it helps the most is you get to put all information you need in salesforce, product information and customer information. I will say that salesforce is a all in one CRM.

The security level is really impressive. Authentication is required when linked to a different wifi/mobile connection, and it auto logs in when the network is familiar. Other than this, SFCC is very functional when it comes to data management. Order details, refunds, coupons, etc., basically everything linked to a customer's account, including each click and login by a customer, everything shows up without hassle. It's super-functional and works really seamlessly, with a simple UI.
I don't think there's anything I dislike about SFCC, it has everything we need for our daily customer support needs.
At times when certain functions don't work at a customer's end, from the native website, with the help of SFCC, we can immediately rectify the error and the error gets rectified in seconds on the native page. Other than this, password resets, OTPs, refunds, accessing customer accounts directly, everything is integrated which makes it very efficient to use.
