"Renderro - first impressions"
What do you like best about Renderro?

Possibility to work remotely on very fast computers if needed.

What do you dislike about Renderro?

In my case - i am using Renderro for tv and film editing, using Media Composer and Resolve remotely. I am writing this in the moment where not everything is fixed; i am using beta - it's not full release of the Renderro solution. For now, i think that the crucial thing is that you need to use normal internet line to send the material to the remote server. i am NOT yet familiar using G5 lines, so i don't know how it will be in the nearest future, but slower internet lines may be a bit tricky when you have huge amount of materials to send. I didn't try yet to send my materials physically to server (remote server is not in my country), which will definitely solve this bottleneck situation. I am working now to find how Renderro works when using remote programs for editing. Sending physically materials (rushes) is not my focus for now.

Recommendations to others considering Renderro:

Just try it and you will love it!

Imagine that you are on Adriatic coast and working remotely for your client in other part of the world. And you are fast enough to deliver it on time. The biggest problem for you will be to find proper SHADE for your computer screen. Everything else is piece of cake.

What problems is Renderro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Basic thing i am solving is rendering time. The capabilities of my home computers are decent, maybe not super fast, but rather ok for my work. The key problem in our work (editing) is deadline time. You are ALWAYS late. So, to solve that problem, i started to test / use Renderro. I was using dual configuration (access to two computers).

First computer (faster then mine} as a basic remote computer, for normal editing work, and a second one - for rendering and some (not time consuming) corrections in editing. This approach basically saved my a..

When using home computer, my rendering time of certain sequence was 18 minutes. On the first (cheapest) computer was 12 minutes, on the other one (more expencive) was... 1 minute 40 sec.

This was HUGE time saver.

Especially, when you finally send your work to your client, and he/she is saying: "Great, BUT... we need to change one small thing..."

Now, imagine what you will do to deliver it fast? I said: "No problem, will send you this small correction in two minutes".

Thanks to Renderro this is not 20 minutes but 2 (two). Ahhh.. what a relief...

"Easy, Powerful, Affordable"
What do you like best about Renderro?

When using Renderro, the best part I like about it is having a familiar and straightforward interface, which feels precisely like using your personal computer.

No fancy cloud interface; it's just one button to turn on your workstation and post that everything is just as good as your personal computer.

Plans are affordable and scalable; as compared to using rendering services, there are no uncertain hidden costs. Combined with fixed monthly affordable

subscription plan does bring peace of mind.

Machines are powerful, and the flexibility to switch between plans makes it easy to complex projects on the cloud as I can add or remove things in the middle of projects cost-effectively.

Day by day i am getting more used to using this service, and I hope to have this comfort of cloud workstation power at the ease of access as a great companion.

What do you dislike about Renderro?

I wish they had app for ipad which would let you manage your renders etc.

What problems is Renderro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have been using Renderro for rendering 3d animation projects. Besides having my local render farm, I can now access these

powerful machines for rendering when working with crucial deadlines. Surprisingly in some cases, the workstations outperformed the hardware we use in the local render farm.

It's very convenient and saves a lot of time.
