I love how many options there are when creating content on Lessonly. Whether we need to create quizzes or a slick presentation of material, Lessonly always delivers.
There isn't much that I dislike about Lessonly. We're able to track employee engagement, and present information in a dynamic way. Examples: linking videos and images, the "flip" feature, quizzes, etc.
Our policies change a lot as our company grows, and Lessonly Knowledge gives us the opportunity to not only disburse information widely but check for retention as well.
Obie is straightforward to use and he learns over time. He is even integrated onto other platforms. Our team uses him mostly on Slack, where he can be added to any channel. Some simple commands bring him up and the results are made visible just to you. Then you can share them if you want.
As silly as it may be, the little animal character for "him" is kind of adorable.
There are no real dislikes other than maybe some improvements that can be made to how the results appear from the standpoint of visual design.
Take a careful look at where you want to be using Obie and see if he is supported on that platform.
We have a constantly evolving knowledge base. Obie adapts and gives us accurate, up-to-date information for our teams to take.
Obie has allowed our team to upload close to 5000 FAQs that are available to all of our specialists within 5-7 seconds anytime they ask Obie a question. Utilizing Obie as a single source of truth has cut down on the time it takes for specialists to search for and get accurate answers to customer questions and is helping to create an unrivaled customer experience. As a supervisor/trainer Obie has become a resource for us to onboard individuals quicker and decrease overall ramp time.
There is not currently anything I dislike about Obie as a user and admin but am looking forward to the team at Obie continuing to make improvements to the searchability of FAQs on the back end and more in-depth reporting to see trends in questions asked.
The biggest benefit to us was understanding what the Opportunity Cost of implementing Obie was and where our team was spending their time. Instead of spending time looking for the resource, we want that time spent getting the answer from Obie.
As a growing team, we have a need to consolidate our resources and keep them in one searchable place for the entire team. Obie has allowed us to take what is normally in multiple resources and would force our specialists to have numerous tabs open to now access information via Obie through slack or as a chrome extension. Obie has also helped by stepping into some of our open slack channels for troubleshooting and providing answers that specialists would normally have to wait longer for.
I like the instant responses that I am able to get when I ask a question, as well as there is supporting information for the answer
Nothing really, I'm not very fond of us having to ask detailed and specific questions for the correct answer, but it's nothing that shouldn't be expected of us
A lot of PPP questions and document requirement questions. The benefit is being able to have multiple answers for one question
The quick and efficient responses I get.
Sometimes when I am looking for a quick answer, I have to sit and think about how to word my question so that it's not too complex and so that I can get the correct answer.
Keep it simple, get good answers.
In the beginning of starting work I utilized Obie when I thought I knew the answer, but was unsure, and I was able to provide myself with the correct answer. Now, even though I am still a beginner, I quickly use Obie for refreshers on topics that I may or may not see everyday.
I like that I am able to have access to information that I need for work with a few keyboard strokes! I just type in the keywords and (not even full sentences) the information I need comes up! User-friendly search especially for a newbie like me who has a ton of information that I need to learn. Very useful for someone who also isn't great with organizing information.
I personally would prefer that the search results will pop out as an overlay rather than showing on the same screen where I searched. The overlay tells me that this information is the result of a current search rather than just looking at the window where older searches will show up too.
If you are looking to help your CS people have access to the knowledge base without worrying teaching them how to use the app or what to search, use Obie.
It has a more dynamic way of searching keywords on documents rather than just using the search function of say, Google Drive - where the sequence of the keywords matter, making it hard to search.
As a newbie, this is extremely helpful because I am still new to my job, I am not used to the keywords yet. But with Obie, I don't have to worry about that.
- Slack integration + Chrome
- Obie Discovery and AI recommendation engine
- Knowledge integration sources are encompassing of most resources our company stores.
- The ability to quickly add FAQ from Slack
- not much, everything Obie currently lacks (like Monday.com and Loom integrations) I'm willing to wait out because of the company stage. They should get there eventually.
1st Level: How do I quickly find a resource quickly that I KNOW I need (FAQ and wiki)
2nd Level: How can I find answers based on problems I'm experiencing (Obie discover)
3rd Level: How do I find the best possible resource answer to the problem I'm experiencing (up voting or downvoting resources after Obie recommends)
I love that I can open Obie up in the extension while I work. If I receive an email asking for a document password or need to pull up a presentation I can simply click on the Obie extension, do my search and be instantly connected to what I am looking for. No need for excess clicking!
Obie is very helpful and it's difficult to even think about something I dislike! However, the only downside (sometimes) is when I do a search in the extension but put in an incorrect keyword. I want to edit my search but clicking back into the search bar completely deletes my search and I have type up everything again.
If you want to save time, this is for you!
The biggest problem that has been solved for me is finding documents in a timely manner. I have realized just how much time we can spend looking for documents or even just clicking through so many apps and folders to get to your destination. But with Obie, I just have to do my search and I'm immediately linked to what I'm looking for! No more searching.
Quick answers and fast learning, providing more than one answer if available
I can't say that there are things that I don't like or I thing that downsides
If you don't want to waist time for searching true documents use Obie
I don't need to lose time to search google sheets and docs to find the right one Obie does that for me and finds the best answer
