Really it is very easy to use not too much to complain about
Problems are the updates we sometimes have to go back to another set to get it back working correctly but MC helps us get it back.
Simple hierarchy and module organization. Easy to automate PM checks and services and simple for techs to fill out work as it is completed. Solid support from implementation coach. It is so intuitive that I was able to start using it from day 1 without training.
I would like to see a better system for creating reports. Currently I need a report for every KPI. I'd like to combine my KPIs in one simple report to show to both techs and management.
It is very user friendly for new teams and people in new roles if there is some familiarity with other CMMS or database systems. Get training on the reports that are available and how to edit them to make them what you need, the report system is pretty good and can save a lot of time.
By making sure all equipment is reviewed by technicians on a periodic basis we've reduced mechanical downtime by 50%. Using the requestor portal defects are identified by personnel in different departments -these are then addressed by our techs and when the work order is closed it sends an automated email to the requestor. This has helped our transparency in the maintenance department and helped in developing partnerships across the organization.
I like that we can go one place for creating and maintaining a work order history. I appreciate housing a living record of our inventory. Not only that but it creates reports that will give us a picture of project status.
Maintenance Connection's ability to be robust also deters from being user friendly. Locating data within the system can be time consuming.

It allows us to go to one location for a variety of software needs. We use to have one unorganized location for our inventory. We had a separate software for our work orders. We had yet another software for our contracts.
MC offers the most comprehensive format for maintaining and track equipment records. Similar programs put more emphasis on the preventive maintenance tasks and lack data fields necessary to track equipment data. The reporting tool is also very helpful.
The reporting tool can be very tricky. If I was not able to create the report I needed, I could reach out to MC support for help. If there was more of a push button route for building the SQL string that would make a world of difference.
Place an emphasis on your structure and expected level of detail at inception. A clear idea of the system you want in the beginning will reduce the chances of having to go back and make changes at a later date.
