Jumpcloud is one system that does it all: single sign on, patch management, password policy and management, centralized account management and Wifi authentication.
The deployment is easy on any platforms, I currently run it on Linux, Mac OS and Windows without a glitch. I have started with 20 users and 30 machines, scaling it to 79 users and over 100 machines with only one part-time IT person.
It seems a bit expensive but if you have to pay for your SSO service, your patch management, your centralized account management it will be more expensive.
The IT time you are saving is where the saving.
Honestly, try it if you are looking for SSO system that works on Linux, Mac and Windows
More I use JumpCloud, more features they are adding. Now we can have policy about disk encryption all centralized in one place. Easy to maintain, to check. When I signed up for JumpCloud that was not available, now it is.
The ability to manage all devices, employees and create a portal allowing users to access their everyday used links makes it smoother to assist hundreds of employees at once.
Not necessarily dislike, but could use some more updates on policy management. The platform tailors more towards windows and macs, but lack some more MDM functionalities and features. In order to have an all in one platform that IT teams could benefit from, enhancing the MDM capabilities will draw a lot more clients into Jumpcloud.
Jumpcloud is allowing us to track down devices and its users as it is our Active Directory and primary MDM solution for PC/Laptops.
The ability to provide end-point security and SSO.
And they are very cost-effective, especially compared to Okta.
JumpCloud has had some growth issues during Covid. This has led to some downtime of various products. It did not take us off-line, but it did make managing resources impossible during those outages.
Their pricing scheme has been all over the place. But, again, this is due to their phenomenal growth.
End-point security. Locking down our computers, especially for those who are now working remotely. You can also get detailed reports from their agent running on the clients. That includes not only Windows and Mac but also Linux.
We were able to consolidate all of our LDAP and Radius needs onto JumpCloud. Each of those formerly ran in other non-integrated systems.
Its support all the platform Win, MAC and Linux. MDM and policies also is there. SSO is there for customization.
MDM profile installation should be customised, it should be use as this property and monitor by company name not jumpcloud.
One Platform for all your bussiness need.
My favorite part about JumpCloud is how it just works! We have connected different apps, users, integrations, and love how when the change is made, not only is it quick, but works and reliably. They also encourage their 10 users forever which is a huge deal in testing for bigger environments before roll-out.
My main point right now is the fact that the JumpCloud agent cannot be used with domain-joined computers; however, I agree with their stance on saying their directory works without needing Active Directory. Plus, most companies should be moving away from AD if they choose to use JumpCloud.
Really think about your environment. Do you need AD? Chances are JumpCloud has a way to make your systems work without the complexity of Microsoft and other options.
We use many virtual machines and other computers as proxies (running services like a hub for different types of software). Jumpcloud has allowed us to use a dashboard to view insights on each machine it's installed on like RAM, CPU, users, and other nice-to-knows. We also use the commands with an API to do things like send a notification to Slack when a file is copied every Monday morning.
There are so many cool features with JumpCloud. One coolest by far is the directories. Syncing users and credentials across platforms makes management so easy for this two-man team! AND! They've added mobile device management!
I'm finding fewer and fewer things to put on my con list... MacOS can be a bit of a bear at times BUT that isn't JumpCloud's problem, it's the way they have to implement with macOS.
Don't worry about checking elsewhere... Great People, great support, great product!
We are going domainless! Removing all local domain controllers. The ease of deployment is so nice. We've finally decommissioned our on-site domain controller thanks to JumpCloud!
An identity management system that works really well. Device management thats easy to use. Policy management that works.
Nothing so far, I'm yet to use certain areas of the system
User logins to devices, policy management and secuity. Password management is also a nice bonus.
I like that JumpCloud can handle local user management. Other providers are unable to accomplish this as of yet without another 3rd party vendor. They have good customer support.
JumpCloud is the best I have seen for what we need here.
We are in the process of getting rid of Active Directory and JumpCloud is playing a major part in that.
We have to Enroll Our Devices without Domain requirement, and also we have enrolled the Linux and macOS Devices
Many Tools and Feature are still is need to improve like RAA
Before that, we had faced the issue of Centralization login because we have a 90% Linux environment, but after the JumpCloud, we have enrolled all users

JumpCloud really set itself apart from other identity providers, it is great to start small and scale with your employees over time and get more and more controls through the extensive feature list. The number of integrations is a major differentiator.
It was a bit navigating how to get the most value out of it quickly if you're not an IT user, a partner helped this process
Moving away from the legacy Active Directory
