I loved using iclicker during my undergrad.
What do you like best about iClicker?
I went to an enormous university, and iclicker made it possible for professors to visually gauge their students’ understanding of course material. I used iclicker to participate in class polls, gain attendance points, and answer questions. I loved that iclicker could create visual representations in the form of charts so professors and students could see where they respectively stood. My class size could get substantially large (300+ students), but with iclicker, my professors could still get a sense on the class’s overall progress and make sure that every student’s voice was heard through polls and Q&A sessions. iclicker is so simple and intuitive to use. One doesn’t have to be an expert on technology to figure out how to use iclicker (believe me, some of my professors were pretty old and they used it seamlessly).
What do you dislike about iClicker?
One aspect about iclicker that was irritating was the timer setting. Sometimes professors would forget to adjust the time for iclicker responses so students’ answers could not be registered. I do not think this feature is really necessary. Additionally, I think the software in the remotes can be adjusted to be a little bit more intuitive. Configuring the remotes to connect to the specific response frequency for a given classroom caused issues for me, as well as other students. Some generations of iclicker remotes do not have UIs, so this made it even harder to determine if the remote was properly configured.
What problems is iClicker solving and how is that benefiting you?
The number one issue that iclicker helped my university resolve was figuring out how to gauge the overall progress of a class at a particular moment in time when that class has anywhere from 200-600 students in it. Before iclicker, professors only had a sense of students’ progress from their test scores, and by then it was too late to go back and review course material they may have had trouble with. With iclicker, professors can have an idea of where students stand in seconds, and I think it is immensely useful in that regard for both professors and students; professors can adjust their course schedules to accommodate student feedback, and students have the opportunity to showcase their own progress.

Iclicker Review used during Undergraduate Studies
What do you like best about iClicker?
I love how the iclicker can do so many things! You can press the buttons in the remote and the answers chosen will reflect onto the screen. It’s incredibly fun and useful for students. I love how you can see tour answers love compared to other students. It engages learning and keeps them on their toes. It has been so far the best tool I for undergraduate studies. I also love that the battery life hold very well. There is no need to plug it into an outlet for it to charge, which is very nice. Additional upsides include working alongside peers to answer questions, and improved test scores due to attentiveness to iclicker questions. The iclicker is most helpful when students want to participate but are either too shy to raise their hand. This eliminates awkwardness in a classroom setting.
What do you dislike about iClicker?
I dislike how sometimes if you are not connected to the class number then you cannot participate. Sometimes there are signaling errors so that makes it hard for students to connect and interact. I also dislike how it runs on batteries. There is a battery setting to tell you how low your battery is but it uses up battery life really fast. Also, when you drop the iclicker it has a tendency to break, so the plastic is not very durable. Some students can not afford the cost of another iclicker because of the expense. The least helpful thing about the iclicker is that it cannot save your results into a database as the answers chosen will be forever deleted. The downsides include never being able to see the question asked in class, so students cannot review what they got wrong or what they got right.
Recommendations to others considering iClicker?
I recommend that the iclicker device is chosen over the app on the phone. The app on the phone sometimes shuts down and is not as reliable as the iclicker. Do not drop the iclicker because it can break very easily since the plastic is not very durable Nd seems very cheap. The screen is very small and is not touch generated. Students cannot are questions or answers on the remote but only in the screen projected for the whole class. I also recommend that students pay for the iclicker ahead of time and register because this process may take long. Shipping may take a while for the Iclicker to come. The signal sometimes cannot reach all students so make sure that the signal is placed in an area without obstacles so that it can reach far. Make sure the signal is placed in a high position so it can reach students further in the back of the class.
What problems is iClicker solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving communication problems in a classroom setting and realized that the attention from my students have increased. I have also realized that besides students being more attentive, they are more interactive. I have also realized that students’ performances on quizzes and exams have dramatically increased because they have been more attentive in class. I am also solving the problem for students who are shy and afraid to speak up in class. The iclicker promotes inclusiveness and allows for everyone with an iclicker to participate. Students who have never spoken up in class before are receiving participation points for using the iclicker, which has shown to improve their overall grades and performance.

Great for in-person or virtual lessons!
What do you like best about iClicker?
I have seen iclicker develop from a physical clicker to a software with a mobile app. This software can be used for attendance, surveys and quizzes. I like that it allows individuals to discretely answer questions and have their opinions heard. The nice thing is, they can instantly see results, which helps with quizzes. Registration is quick and easy.
What do you dislike about iClicker?
The actual iclicker itself is slightly pricey and if a student forgets the clicker, however, they can be reused. Unfortunately, if the student forgets the physical clicker - they cannot participate.
What problems is iClicker solving and how is that benefiting you?
This software is helping eliminate paper - especially during the pandemic. I also found that it helps with testing anxiety because it allows the answers to come automatically.

Iclicker for college use
What do you like best about iClicker?
I liked that iclicker provided instant feedback for professors to gauge how their students were learning material they were lecturing on
What do you dislike about iClicker?
I don’t dislike anything about the product. Besides otherwise, in college the price was in the higher end.
Recommendations to others considering iClicker?
Ask someone you know how they use it. I tried reading the manual and didn’t understand until I was in person and another student explained quickly how to use it.
What problems is iClicker solving and how is that benefiting you?
Professors could get immediate feedback on learning. Count for attendance and participation. Especially for big lecture halls, it’s difficult for one teacher to guess how 300 students are doing.

Excellent support and a tight LMS integration
What do you like best about iClicker?
The product is very easy to use and flexible and contains a lot of nice integration points with our LMS. The support for the product was excellent and the range of settings offered was very nice in accommodating our needs.
What do you dislike about iClicker?
The integration is LTI instead of building block which takes a little bit more setup. We had a few hiccups but it was related to our testing on our staging instance and once we engaged support we were able to get everything sorted out and up and running.
Recommendations to others considering iClicker?
Make sure this is compatible with your LMS prior to using, however it works with at least Blackboard and Moodle.
What problems is iClicker solving and how is that benefiting you?
Classroom surveys were a need for us and prior to using iClicker we needed to have students purchase individual clicker devices. After purchasing we can now have our students use their cellphones which saves them money and makes the whole process easier.

Great for real-time surveys
What do you like best about iClicker?
The data is immediate. iClickers are great for interactive presentations or in a classroom setting. I've also used them in training situations for live-response quiz questions to gauge the level of understanding and thought that was very helpful.
What do you dislike about iClicker?
The registration process can be a bit of a pain in the butt, but not a deterrent really. Not sure if they can be pre-registered for users if being used in a business setting. I have not used the app so comment on what that is like.
What problems is iClicker solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better awareness during presentations as people feel more engaged with the content. During training for immediate feedback on awareness.

Good for interactive meetings
What do you like best about iClicker?
It's convenient to use, and super easy to get on board with. Earlier I remember I had to physically purchase the clickers, but with an online transition, it's so much better to use. Can easily track the participation and progress of each individual, really helps make learning seminars interactive
What do you dislike about iClicker?
Not a lot- but sometimes the application will glitch. This happens most of the times from participants end as they arent able to enter their answers. I proceed to then manually entering their answers and giving them a score
What problems is iClicker solving and how is that benefiting you?
- progress and track participation, presence and understanding without putting in any manual efforts

Can track participation easily without manually counting and cold-calling students- saves energy Easy and accessible to use from any device
What do you like best about iClicker?
Very easy to use- especially setting up questions, answering them, and all in-class polls. These allow students to learn from in-class mistakes, as the review is always available. The range of clickers goes beyond the classroom- so students can ask questions from home too.
What do you dislike about iClicker?
The screen takes very long to refresh at times, and I end up losing the point because of this glitch. Moreover, this software is pretty pricey- in comparison to the competition. It does not always feel worth the extra price we pay for minimal features
Recommendations to others considering iClicker?
- Remote learning; especially in times of covid
What problems is iClicker solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Immediate results allow for a better understanding of mistakes
