"Critical for Remote Office Work"
What do you like best about Egnyte?

Ability to access files from anywhere with an internet connection just as quickly as if I were sitting in the office.

What do you dislike about Egnyte?

Not a whole lot, the system has been mostly bullet proof since implementing. The only "downside" is that it has trouble with saving some temporary and hidden file types from programs like Word and Excel.

Recommendations to others considering Egnyte:

This has been the best server managment decision we made. It took the responsibility of maintaining a server off the IT group, with no disruption to how the end user expects to use the server.

What problems is Egnyte solving and how is that benefiting you?

Egnyte solves the issue of connecting multiple offices to the same file server, which in turn, made it seamless to allow everyone to work from home without any interuption in access to server files.

"Data governance and security"
What do you like best about Egnyte?

The intuitive and familiar way files can be structured to reflect your old system. In terms of information security, it has taken all the risk of dispersed information held on staff devices working remotely and stored it in one repository that can be accessed through a secure link. When staff, contractors or clients upload documents to us, the document is scanned and anymalware is detected and the document quarentined. The personal information we need to hold on file is automatically crossreferenced with the data protection rules and laws for that juristiction. It takes away all the guesswork related to storage of personally identifiable information. When I send a document to a client, it is not actually sent anywhere. They are given a secure path into our files. Its a selling point for us.

What do you dislike about Egnyte?

Nothing to dislike from my perspective. Only recommendations from me.

What problems is Egnyte solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cyber security and limiting data sprawl across personal devices used for business activity.

What do you like best about Egnyte?

I love that the desktop app syncs to my computer so that it can be backed up on my computer and the cloud. I also love that I can work offline if needed, and really like the link-sharing feature for clients!

What do you dislike about Egnyte?

I have only contacted customer service a couple of times and my questions were answered, it just wasn't as smooth and easy as I would have liked

What problems is Egnyte solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Perfect for my small business"
What do you like best about Egnyte?

From interest contact form to implementation, the overall experience for my small 5 -person team has been fantastic. It has all the features we need and has been seamlessly integrated into our business. I especially love being able to scan documents from the mobile app right into our folders. It saves us so much time.

What do you dislike about Egnyte?

At this point, I haven't experienced anything that would cause me to say I dislike Egnytye. It works perfectly for our needs.

What problems is Egnyte solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest issue we had was our employees creating and storing documents all over the place. Locally and on other cloud providers. I was getting tired of email attachements for collaborative documents. Solving this immediately made us more productive.

"Perfect server solution for small architecture firm"
What do you like best about Egnyte?

Egnyte has been extremely fast and reliable. We use it as an alternative to a traditional file server and it has been a great solution. Customer support was very helpful when first getting started and adding users. Being able to access files from multiple devices and share files directly from our file structure has been a big improvment to our coordination workflow.

What do you dislike about Egnyte?

The only feature missing for our firm is being able to host central Revit files like a traditional NAS setup. The Egnyte team seems to be working on that and I hope to move our central models from Autodesk's platform to Egnyte in the future.

What problems is Egnyte solving and how is that benefiting you?

Egnyte provides a maintained and secure file storage solution. As a firm of 3 people, I don't have the time to manage a server from an IT standpoint, and my needs are too simple at this stage to hire an IT consultant regularly.

"Egnyte Experiance"
What do you like best about Egnyte?

Egnyte is one of the few companies out there with an easy to use file system. Setting permissions on a per-user basis is very easy. It is great that we can set up groups then add user to the group. It's quick and easy to set up users. Also very easy to share files with others.

What do you dislike about Egnyte?

It would be great if the admin/I.T. Person could Log in as a specific user. Sometimes I would like to know exactly what one user sees.

Recommendations to others considering Egnyte:

It is a great file server and easy to use.

What problems is Egnyte solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have been able to give access to users that are out in the field easy access to all the files. No more VPNs!
