There are several things I like about Zenkit. One is their new to do app that connects seamlessly with Zenkit base. Now all my tasks are in one place without any extra work or zaps. A second thing I like is the variety of views. The third thing is the ease of customization for each project once you learn their system. Another feature is the ability to connect different pieces of projects together.
I don't find their help videos and instructions to be useful when you are first learning how to use Zenkit. They seem to think you already have a basic knowledge of the program. They still need to do a lot of work to improve their knowledge base, however google as usual can be your friend to help find the answers to your questions.
I started using Zenkit when I began working with Pivotground developing a strategy that will help us scale. Since then we have expanded our use of Zenkit to include tracking communications, resources and tasks.
I like the ease of using Zenkit for scheduling tasks and setting reminders before deadlines. It is easy to create schedules and assign to team mates via Zenkit. It makes life easier than ever as we can manage to take notes on the same platform during calls and meetings.
For free users the data storage is very low, that's the only dislike I have regarding Zenkit. Also the user interface gets too cluttered at some phases, there's a lot of scope to improve the interface.
Best tool for tracking every phase during a project. Starting from ideation to execution of the project, our whole team used Zenkit and I must say the process was smooth. It's mindmap feature and integration with Kanban makes it a convenient tool for office use. Some features are definitely better than Trello.
It is a flexible workspace that can be used to organize things. It enables you to view data and manipulate it in numerous intuitive ways to obtain insight into projects. Also, you can use it to build CRM. It keeps your focus on what is necessary and important. It helps you keep track of projects and performance as it allows you to mark tasks that are completed. You can also use it to keep track of business expenses. It allows users to collaborate from different locations without interacting physically.
One dark side of this tool is the data storage limit that is proportionately low. It provides 1 GB of file attachments for free users and provides only 6GB for plus users. Sometimes it slows down and delays the work. Also, its performance is quite slow in the mobile app as compared to its performance on the computer. It needs to improve the knowledge base. Also, it needs to add more features to the Gantt chart.
It is highly customizable and flexible. It is easy to use and easy to understand as it is a rational database. With Zenkit, you can flourish your projects easily. The documentation is pretty good and the interface is very intuitive. It provides very helpful video tutorials as well as blogs which help new users to understand it. Its price is quite low in comparison to other similar tools. It helps you to work effectively on various projects and tasks in a well-structured way.
We use Zenkit to organize our daily work following the SCRUM methodology. It's a very robust and easy-to-apply app, which helps us to efficiently work together on many different topics and projects in a structured manner, as well as to keep track of the time spent.
I also like that there is a desktop as well as a mobile app so that you can add new tasks whenever something comes to your mind. It definitely helped us to become more efficient - totally recommend using Zenkit!
Planning of sprint goes along with prioritizing many tasks. If there would the feature to have a table with a Kanban option, enabling to prioritize tasks, would be just perfect. There is the option to use the list, but that's just not as structured as to how the contents of the tasks are displayed in a table.
Definitely check it out if you looking for a SCRUM app.
We, as a small team, are working based on the SCRUM methodology. For this purpose, we use Zenkit. Introducing SCRUM and Zenkit was such a big benefit, making us more efficient and helping us to keep track of tasks and times spent.
Customizable fields for items (adding dependencies, dates, documentation) and Flexibility in display (Different views, amount of displayed detail).
Nothing there to dislike really. You should have a good idea on what you want as there is no strong predefined structure.
Zenkit adds a lot more flexibility to the things other applications as Trello can do. But this also means that there is no predefined structure which might be helpful for some people. Zenkit is working on that and is releasing some apps building on the core, so that could improve over time.
For us this flexibility is the main reason to stick with Zenkit!
We use Zenkit throughout our startup for various tasks. The main use-case is project planning in a SCRUM-like setting (Kanban). We have all our customer and internal projects (strongly engineering focussed) on there. Additionally, we use it for lead-generating, idea-generation, execution-board, address-book, and for documenting our development results.
User-friendly interface
Possibility to adjust the interface to your needs
Gantt chart should have more features
Managing a team with a scrum process
The functionalities of the tool are amazing.
Nothing I found it super complete and cover more than my needs.
Try and love it
I cut the wasting of time and I'm always in control of what has been done and the issues encountered.
We can easily add, modify and move our tasks, sharing relevant information across the team to prioritize and meet our deadlines. Working remotely, we often use zenkit collections as a visual cue for our team meetings.
Sometimes I get lost in the data, but I don't think this is actually a zenkit problem
as I stated above: staying remotely in sync with our priorities; sharing a synthetic visual overview of what needs to be done; getting our team more organized

About Zenkit I like that is free, I can use all the apps in the Zenkit umbrella like Hypernotes and Zenkit To-do. It runs very well online and it has a mobile App.
The calendar is weird. I can't get used to it. I would like it more clean, and the weekends in a separate color or something like that. When you move across the calendar it does strange movements.
I was using Zenkit when I was working as a freelancer and It help me to organise my business when I couldn't fine another good free app. I tried Asana and Trello but Zenkit has the best of both. With a little more focus on the aesthetic, Zenkit can be the best option in 2023.
