PROS: I really appreciate the improvements and additional functionalities of the new version. The improvements done on its data preparation, governance, and collaboration features are especially outstanding.

Awesome tool for libraries

PROS: Yellowfin’s templates are an easy and convenient solution for our product integration needs. This suite fits well with our branding and has a positive impact on our customers’ experience. Their customer support service is also top-notch.

CONS: We encountered some technical issues concerning the geo pack. This was addressed immediately after the incident was reported to their support team.

Recommendations to others considering Yellowfin BI:

Do not be deterred from learning the layout of the tool and getting to mastery - it is well worth the effort. Plug-in formatting for reports (libraries) are available to augment the look and feel of reporting and the integration into report presentations (live data updates) is an excellent time saver ... use this to improve your efficiency. Integration into the HOOZin plaform creates a powerful way to share role relevant content within user communities which should definitely be investigated to simplify access to role relevant infomration and exchange between connected communities to maintain information security and confidentiality considerations. Training is essential to ensure that optimum value is derived from the tool - make sure that the users are aware of and use the predictive capability and data analyser functions which is considered best of breed. Definitely a cut above the rest and the support locally in SA and abroad is phenominal. Make sure that your plug-in minimum version requirements are considered before choosing a plug-in to ensure it works first time (the support team is great to assist with difficulties and turn-around is quick and responsive).

Excellent product paired with excellent support service

PROS: Integrating this software with your product is fast and easy. It simplifies the process of putting together and making sense of data from several databases. It is highly customizable and it has an excellent UX design. The support team behind this product is also commendable for they are quick to respond when we have concerns and our issues are thereby solved immediately.

CONS: Improvements could be made on this software’s chart rendering functionality.
