There are many different streaming services on the Internet, and there is a lot of competition. Many local governments, factories, and production lines in Japan have networks that cannot be connected to the Internet, but WSE can also operate on closed networks. We sell Wowza appliance products to such environments. The product also comes bundled with YMW software for browser-based management and viewing, including a video platform, HTML5 player, and 360-degree panoramic video player. You can use Wowza directly. There are no products that can be guaranteed to work properly under these conditions.
We want to perform stable, low-latency live performances in closed network environments such as factories. I would like to see WebRTC's WebRTC-HTTP ingestion protocol installed in WowzaVideo installed in WSE as well. RTMP has a lot of latency, so it is not suitable for ultra-low latency. WebRTC's browser encoder is not suitable for continuous and stable distribution. I want to sell appliance products that enhance low-latency live streaming.
The same goes for HTML5 streaming. Wowza confirmed that both 8K/HEVC and MPEG-DASH VOD can be viewed live on a Chrome browser, but HLS cannot be streamed as VOD and can only be streamed with CMAF-HLS LIVE. Moreover, the application is exclusive with MPEG-DASH. CMAF settings cannot be saved if edited using the manager. It is still under development. Nginx allows HEVC and VP9 VOD distribution with HLS. We are focusing on delivering 8K quality 360-degree panoramic videos. You can watch it using MetaQuest 3's standard browser, but I feel that Wowza's superiority is weakening.
It's been 13 years since we resold Wowza, but lately we've been feeling a great sense of crisis. I want you to try new challenges at WSE like before. Then, create a flow to expand to WowzaVideo. I would like to convey that the origin of WowzaVideo is WSE. New technology in cloud services has a lot to do with service quality and competitors. WSE can evaluate new technologies at the customer's responsibility. I believe that if we challenge ourselves with that idea, we will be able to promote WSE. Nowadays, prices are going up due to inflation, but the number of resales is not increasing. I think one of the reasons is the lack of innovative technology.
There is the issue of live streaming within a closed network. We bundle it with HPE products and sell it as an appliance product.
Local government employees can monitor council meetings from their personal computers. This is just one example.

Problems can be solved by bundling WSE.
There are very few audio-streaming options in the Mac world, and Wowza works excellent for us, and it scales well with lots of users.
Custom solutions are relagated to coders, meaning basic end-users have to spend more money to get solutions, such as simple https links on all browsers for audio.
We needed an audio streaming platform that scales well with lots of users that is reliable and fast. For the Mac platform, there aren't a lot of options out there and Wowza works for us.
Powerful and don't have any latency or delay at all.
I am glad to use Wowza, there is not dislike about it absolutely.
Wowza Streaming Engine solved broadcasting of vide streaming easily in our platform.
With Wowza Streaming Engine you can make live video and audio streaming.
The integration with other technologies should be better.
It offers high-quality video and audio streaming across multiple platforms and devices.
It's very flexible. It can be used on various operating systems including Windows and Linux. I have used it along with Windows 2008 and 2012 over an intranet.
Nothing to dislike. But more information regarding analytics could help.
It mainly helped my earlier organization in resolving intranet streaming quality issues.
It's reliable with multiple custom options for streaming.
It's easy to understand and integrate any project architecture.
It has well documented and help availability
I would recommend to have some more languages support so that it can be used by other development people who are comfortable working in just limited languages..
The most common problem is getting a reliable service provider for streaming. So wowza proved to be reliable and easy to understand integration and this benefited integrating it easily.
Wowza streaming is very easy to set up and Wowza media solutions provide tons of resources that help and guide how to use it.
Sometimes the help support will take a few days to reply to a raised ticket. But other than that I have not found anything to dislike
If you are looking to live stream content to a small audience then Wowza engine is the solution. You can deploy it on a cloud or on a local machine easily and there are a lot of support documents that help and guide you to do that.
I use Wowza engine for live streaming of events and it has served my purpose for small scale viewership.
We have been using Wowza for Streaming for over a decade. The latest Wowza Streaming Engine is the best available so far. The web management feature is really good, there is no more messing around with config files like some of the older versions. This media engine serves just about all the formats that anyone would need, It is stable and a true work horse. If you ever have to ask for support they are on it.
I can't say there is a single thing that I do not like about this product. The only thing I would not like to see is is they get purchased by some big company. From what I can tell they focus on their streaming technologies and that is a good thing.
If you need to host your own streaming engine I would look no further than the Wowza media server. It is solid, fast, efficient , and easy to set up. Documentation is good and their support is stellar.
We had to build an in house secure VOD system to sever thousands of videos that were over an hour long. Our front end is written in PHP and the whole system is authenticated through our LMS using LTI. It is secure and encrypted using StreamLink. The Streaming Engine is rock solid and the only time we need to touch it is to upgrade to a newer version.

Wowza Streaming Engine provided robust and dependable streaming output for our live sports network. We were able to install modules that customized file naming and insert ID3 data tags for embed score information.
Support could be more accessible and available by phone. Luckily, we needed very little support over the years.
The platform is quite good at transmuxing various resolutions and adaptable via JAVA for advanced functions such as insertion of ID3 tags.
