It's free and extremely simple to use. I use it to plan out launches, keep my business projects running smoothly, and keep track of what I need to do on a daily and weekly basis.
Sometimes the interface is a bit clunky and moving items within a task is challenging. Otherwise, I love this tool for what it is...a simple, no-frills way to organize my projects.
Mind mapping is an important skill for online marketers, and this is a great, simple tool that makes that process easy.
I like how amazingly flexible and powerful Workflowy is. I started using it just for its outlining capabilities – which are great. But the more I use Workflowy, the more I realize the many more things it can handle, and handle well. Fast, reliable, and just really well designed. Also, new features always seem to be judiciously chosen and well implemented – keeps getting better and better.
The one thing Workflowy is missing for me is share-sheet functionality on iOS. That would be a really powerful addition because it would make it so much faster and easier to throw stuff into Workflowy from my phone and iPad.
I do still use Workflowy a lot for outlining – works so elegantly for that. The other tools I've tried feel so clumsy and cumbersome by comparison. I've also started using it for lists of all kinds, as a repository for any kind of text I want to save (like quotes), for meeting agendas for different kinds of groups (like the men's group I'm a part of), and now for journaling too. Works great for all of it.
I'm a very creative and organized person. This causes a lot of issues for me when using typical productivity tools, as I end up wasting a lot of time on re-organizing my dashboards.
The simplicity and power of Workflowy allow me to make these re-organizations extremely fast, keeping me productive and creative at the same time!
There's no way to suggest improvements or new features.
I wish there was a way to easily contact and engage with the team (as a paying customer).
Perfect for highly productive & creative people.
Organizing my thoughts, tasks, ideas, projects, and more.
The fact that it has no excess frills or unnecessary features! This is so so so rare and I love it. There is no app anywhere like this that combines the tedious task of taking notes with the time consuming task of organizing and finding your way back to this or that particular piece of information without any distractions and without the complication of other apps--like One Note and Evernote which I like very much still but it's way more complicated and lengthy to navigate. Workflowy achieves this by its ingenious pairing of bullet pointing and hyperlinks. Simple absolutely genius.
The fact that more people don't know about it.
Only advice would be you actually use it.
Overworked and overwhelmed creative mind that's always too full. This helps me get ideas out.
I like that it is bare bones - in other words there are no distractions like other note taking apps. It also helps having peace of mind that all my notes backup to dropbox so I don't have to worry about losing anything. Really glad that there is a native app on iOS rather than having to use a web based solution.
I wish the keyboard shortcuts were more intuitive - they are helpful but I have to actively think about what they are specific to workflowy vs other apps I use.
Organizing thoughts and project plans. I can start a note somewhere to get it out and add/modify as I have more time to reflect later on. It is really great that you can also drill down into notes to focus on the task at hand rather than drown in the noise of all your notes. Search-ability is also a really positive aspect of Workflowy as I can find things quite quickly.
It can hold an incredibly large amount of data in an extremely easy to review, edit, digest and searchable way
No ways to add hyperlinks to words, you have to add the entire URL. I also wish there was a way to add color is the battery differentiate between different types of data or information
Try it. It can replace so many things you use. It may not seem like it at first but the more I use it the more systems I replace with it.
Making wikis ( large stores of personal data/FAQs), best to do list I’ve ever used, keeping track of deadlines and specific dates, meeting notes, random notes
I love its simplicity. You can enumerate your daily tasks and cross those once they are complete
They should provide more bullet points options for the basic plan
Try it if you are any other tool for daily task tracking. You will stick to it for sure.
Tracking daily tasks progress, prioritizing work. As it is so simple to track, I love the tool, it's very productive in comparison to other similar tools.
i really like that I can create simple yet infinite lists. Also that I am able to share with my co-workers. Saves us a lot of time while being more efficient.
The only two things that II dislike are that it seems a bit cluttered and the limitations for customization.
We work with different people and organizations for example homeless individuals, churches, other shelters, and different programs in the city. So we are constantly having to create different lists for example weekly church schedules, food lists, shelter lists. Then we have to share these with all other departments so this software makes that so much easier for us.
It's an infinite bullet list of lists within lists. For a list maker like me, this is a perfect tool.
because the scope of information you can store is basically infinite, it takes some getting used to navigating between lists.
I use it to store all my To-Dos for work.

I love the ease of creating, moving, and finding content in Workflowy. I also love the ability to easily share individual nodes or pages to summarize notes or action items.
I don't dislike anything, but there are a few features I wish were included:
1. A "collapse all" command to clean up everything.
2. A few more "pro" themes, similar to the number of dark themes that Obsidian has available.
3. The ability to forward an email to workflowy to create a task
The ability to organize notes, people, meetings, tasks, and general "stuff" for a wide variety of projects
