This app was so helpful when recently attending a conference with 700+ attendees. It was easy to use and see many subsessions easily on the app.
You have to use it on your phone or handheld device. It wouldn't let me use it on my desktop.

I have to say that the communications options are my favorite. I'm able to simultaneously push notify and email all of my attendees; the ones who have the app will get the push notification, and those who haven't downloaded the app will get the email, and every permutation in between. Seriously: as you are shopping around, ask which event apps have this feature. The other ones I looked at didn't offer this; you had to email those without the app and send a separate message to those with the app, which is just more work for me. This saved me so much time, because I was also able to schedule all of these notifications in advance of the conference, as well as send notifications on the fly at the event.
The interface feels a little outdated, and I couldn't send notifications from my iPad or iPhone. I had to pull out my laptop if we needed to sent notifications on-site. I hope mobile app support of notifications is coming!
We never had a great way to message all attendees at one time before, not a dead simple one like Whova offers, anyway. Also, the way that Whova connects our exhibitors and attendees, well, that was amazing. Our exhibitors are very happy and have been asking if we are using Whova again next year (we're already in contract). Our attendees began engaging with each other before the conference began, which leadership was glad to see, and we believe it helped foster stronger relationships than our events have without an event app.

I liked the way that the conference was set up. The first day was the best. The WHOVA app made it easy to keep track of time and to see what event was scheduled next. This was especially important on the second day when we went into our breakout rooms.
Sometimes there didn't seem to be a lot of detail. I had instances when items were sent to me through the app to my phone, and they were unreadable
