This is super easy for small children to use. They can take a picture of an assignment and instantly send it to their families. The voice feature helps students who are not yet readers.
It can sometimes be hard to manage. I would love to turn off messaging as I already have too many ways for parents to get in touch with me.
Seesaw helps connect families to what their students are doing at school.
I love the interaction I can have with my daughter and her teachers while she is at school. It is a great tool for parents and teachers.
I dislike that I am unable to save an individual picture from a post. It requires saving all the pictures of the post rather than only the ones I want.
It helps keep me up to date with what is happening at school.
SeeSaw is easy for students to navigate and has the option for voice instructions, which helps nonreaders complete assignments independently.
I dislike that it is difficult to get parents connected or to connect students without Google accounts.
SeeSaw is great for when teachers are absent, asynchronous learning days, and differentiation.
I like the accessibility for both the teacher, parent, and student on this app! It is effective for different age groups as well. I also like how it works well web based or on app.
Unlike Class Dojo, you have to manually copy and paste messages to a select group of parents.
I also wish there was a feature to do group messages with parents.
The problem of a lack of parental engagement is getting solved. Many parents who may not check email or answer the phone will respond to SeeSaw messages!
Seesaw allows me to assign meaningful activities that my students love! It is straightforward to do and does not take a long time to learn how to do. I love that I can assign activities ahead of time, not only the day but the time! We started to use this because of the pandemic, but we plan to use it for many years to come!
At this time, I have not found anything that I dislike about Seesaw.
Seesaw allows us to give student assignments that are digital, which the students seem to prefer. It is easy for the teacher to look and see the assignments not only on the computer but also on the app. It allows us to give individual feedback without the endless piles of paper!
The most favorable feature of Seesaw is its simple and intuitive user interface. It has such a user-friendly interface that even my 6-year-old kid can use it effortlessly without any hassles. It has an easy navigation tab in the bottom. I can take real time assessments from my students to track their progress. My students can respond to the assignments in the form of a photo, drawing, video or a link. My students can then edit their photos and videos to make them more interesting. My students can also view the submissions of other students for competition.
My students often complain that they receive errors while trying to record a large video for submission. The notifications sent don't lead you to the assignments. Instead, they just open the application and you have to search for the assignment everywhere which is a little bit frustrating for my students
Due to the pandemic when all the schools were closed and education had come to a standstill, our school was looking for an amicable solution for imparting education to my students. We found Seesaw and implemented it in our organization. Inviting our students to the platform was very easy. Seesaw has helped us a lot in interacting with my students, accepting submissions and responses for assignments. Overall, it has helped us conduct virtual classrooms remotely from our homes.
This semester due to the pandemic, my daughter’s classroom used Seesaw to send school work and creative materials to her teacher. The first time using the Seesaw app we found it to be user friendly. What I like best is that you can upload work and type in notes or captions in the same image or document area. This saves a lot of time than having to upload an image or document then the caption second. I am so thankful for this platform as it has taught my daughter to improve her math skills through the block tools that are used and learning science application.
As far as dislikes, I don’t like that there is no history section as of what was already sent to the teacher. Sometimes I have sent things twice if I wasn’t sure that I sent it before. I also wish there was more of a communication between parents and maybe a parents chat section so that play dates could be scheduled. That would have been nice. Something like a sharing of work or art content between kids and parents could monitor that section as well as communicate with one another.I also notice that when you are working on the mobile app and say you have your child to some writing or math/drawing work it's very hard to use your fingers. I think it's because the screen is so small so a stylus is definitely needed for this portion if you are working from the mobile app.
I would recommend Seesaw for any parent or teacher even who is looking for an easy and accessible quick communication tool. It’s easy to share your child’s work and art via Seesaw. Check them out! As mentioned above they have photo and video capabilities that make it easy to submit live work.
I am solving the problem of having a quick and easy way of sending work to my daughter’s teacher. Since he was sending out so many emails through the last quarter I didn’t want to pile up (same with other parents) his email, it’s easy for things to get lost in the sauce) so I’m grateful that he offered this option to us.
The embedded creative tools in Seesaw make it so easy for students to share their learning. I love that they can use the camera and microphone to share physical work in addition to digital work.
Messaging system connects with families but can use some improvements (which they are working on) to truly be a helpful communication tool.
Giving students a place to save, share & reflect on their work, plus connect with and communicate with families.
I love how easy it is for little children to use and for teachers to communicate to parents, too!
There is really nothing that I can think of.
It is a great product.
Organizing all work and communication into one unified place.

The ease to send group messages to family members and quickly assign on grade level assignments.
That I can't send more than 1 video with pictures.
I can assign and "send home" work with the click of a button and not worry about paper assignments to hand grade and pass out or file.
