vRealize Suit provides real-time insight to the network traffic between the VMs. Querying the tool is super user friendly. If someone has doubt regarding the connectivity between two VMs that should not exists as per the functional requirement, he could query the tool to know the amount of network traffic and the ports between which it is happening. That may reveal some infrastructure level traffic flows which is not an explicit application level functional requirement. This helps deciding whether that flow could be blocked without breaking a working software system.

Sometimes it takes an awful lot of time to return the result of your query.

I worked on a NSX implementation project. Sometimes after implementing an exception rule, end users still complains about connectivity issues. vRealize Suit comes as a great investigating aid that provides the insight of the network traffic.

1) Network insight is a very powerful tool for troubleshooting but expensive. It has a 360 view of your entire environment (virtual, physical, public cloud).

2) Operation manager is for Datacenter optimization. It can detect idle or powered off VMs so resources can be claimed, it can rightsize a VM (add/remove resources), it can balance your clusters based on technical/business intents, it can do capacity planning and so much more.

vRealize Automation will provide end users with a selfservice portal so they can deploy applications way faster and without talking with anyone.

Log insight and vRealize business are not my favs.

The vRealize suite can be expensive. It’s vSphere centric but that does not mean it can be extensible.

vRealize makes sense when you have the whole suite not individual products.

Network insight for troubleshooting physical network and virtual network using NSX. vRA to provide self service portal to end users. vROPS as the main tool for Datacenter operators.

It is very easy and it takes a very short amount of time to install.

It is consuming a lot of CPU and Memory resources.

We are using VRNI to analyze network traffic in the environment.

Good monitoring tool for network components

Vmware aria operations is basically used to get in hand metrics report /dashboard for running applications and its IO uses, it easily delivers greater overview of inside environment

The best part of VMware Aria Operations for Networks is the easy setup and implimentation. It support almost all major avaibale cloud soltions in the market.

Some of the time it is slow interms of loading the queries and major downpart is the licesnsing which is not bundled with NSX.

Bottleneck Identification ,Reporting and Analytics. It gives a clear view of network trafic for all the VMs and components present in the environment and helps in rectifying the bottlenecks in network.

The softwares ability to connect via our VPN is a great plus. Furthermore, it walks us through our basic interfaces and global security.

The product overcommits to its actual capabilities. Our system blocks all the cloud capabilities of INSIGHT. The support promised this wouldn’t be an issue and we have yet to find a solution. Frustrating to say the least!

The benefit of having 3 other VR products at our disposal is helpful. The benefit of a product that has VPN capabilities. The product once it coincides better with our security infrastructure will be amazing.
