I've been using RealVNC for over 3.5 years (since start of the pandemic), and I am amazed that it really has never given me a single issue. That is truly something to say. The service is consistent and pretty fast.

I think the login system is just a tad complicated, but honestly do not have suggestions to make it better! I think it just comes with the territory of VPN.

I worked completely remotely. RealVNC was easily set up for me quickly during the pandemic. It has been utterly instrumental in me doing ANY work whatsoever and I depend on it heavily, every day.

Users may also encounter occasional problems when configuring firewalls or routers for optimal performance. While the support documentation is there, some users might find the initial setup a bit technical.

The free tier doesn't have much technical support, but I suppose that okay. Since its free. I do use it frequently and have had a relavtively problem free time. But if something does go wrong, fixing can be a hassle.

Remote Access to Desktops: I log into my office servers/laptops and even single board computers from my home if I need to check something or quickly help a collegue.

Cross-Platform Compatibility: It supports various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. The cross-platform compatibilityreally helps out for use on robotics development and remote maintaince of servers.

Cloud Connectivity: The cloud connectivity feature lets us access the remote desktops without the need for complex network configurations. Plus its over the internet, from anywhere and anytime without having the hassle or the security risk of dealing with port forwarding, DNS and whatnot.

When I set up an instance in AWS EC2, I can have remote desktop access through RealVNC and perform complex software installations such as Vivado,petalinux, and other tools.

The outstanding quality/reliability of the application is what I like best, but the easy-to-reach team at RealVNC is also an important attribute.

The application occasionally "hangs," but it usually gets resolved after a few moments. However, sometimes I require the client on the other end to click an object or two to get things going again.

Ability to resolve client issues remotely -- which is vital when they're thousands of miles away, and especially now with COVID-19 even when they're close!

Ease of deployment and access to machines for help desk and administrative needs.

Updating the license used to be a problem, now we do it through policies.

The ease of access to any machine in our "fleet" that has the product installed. Management and help desk issues have become much easier with the applicalion of VNC>

VNC was easy to set up. Once the client side is configured, the connection is always there on the launcher, ready to go. I can connect almost immediately without end-user intervention. I have great controls from the toolbar such as sending CTRL+ALT+DEL, which is good when I'm using VNC through a remote session of my own. I can switch monitors or view all simultaneously. It stays connected through reboots, which is better than baked beans at a BBQ. VNC is one of those tools that you didn't know you needed but can't let it go. It makes remote administration just so much easier, especially on headless PCs. I have used ConnectWise and I feel that VNC is smoother.

I have used ConnectWise in the past and I feel like ConnectWise offered better information and logistics about a remote system. Maybe it is designed more for the MSP market, but the version of VNC I use lacks some of those tools that can really bring the whole package of remote administration, logistics, inventory, and information.

I use VNC to remotely administer a headless PC in a warehouse 2.5 hours away from my office headquarters. The warehouse guys don't want the role of adjusting the PC to suit their needs; they want IT to manage it for them. Since no one sits at that PC, I need to have extensive control over it remotely. VNC is a slick tool that allows me to do that and I use it every day.

Their customer service is outstanding! Super fast!
