The fact that journal entries for leases can be streamlined on a monthly basis with relative ease as long as the correct parameters and information regarding the leases has been entered correctly.

Running some of the reports is not as straightforward as it should be and takes time to get used to and could be more user friendly if these could be easy to see and navigate through

It is making the accounting for our leases an easier process than manually making the calculations for each lease and feeding that into the accounting records.

With the implementation of ASC 842, we started exploring softwares that could help us with the necessary accounting. Visual Lease met our needs and has been a great product. Since then, we have selected Visual Lease as our software of choice for all of our subsidiary companies and have started to bring their lease data into the software. The implementation managers are amazing and have been a great asset is moving data over from our prior lease software.

While there are standard reports that are very helpful, customized reporting can be a bit complicated and need time to understand the types of inputs that are needed to get the right data.

VL is a very intuitive tool which makes training a global user base of hundreds of users easier. Integrating new plants post acquisition is efficient with the various upload templates allowing you to create many new leases at once. The customer support team responds in a timely manner and the senior leadership of the company is focused on continued enhancements, with the input of their customer base.

The inability to customize reports to your specific company's needs is a bit of a hinderance but for the most part, we have the reporting we need.

VL has allowed us to get our arms around our entire global lease portfolio to make better, more informed decisions.

VL's true value add is not simply that it makes ASC 842 compliance simple. The true value is the lease administration. With over 500 leases, VL was able to categorize both leasee and lessor for us. The product is intuitive so learning is easy, even for nonaccountants. If we have any questions, the team is always an email away from the answer. I appreciate how affordable this solution was. I shopped other lease accounting and administration solutions and was very pleased with the value VL provided.

There is nothing to dislike. They are flexible on the purchase side. You can never have too much training but they are willing and able to provide training.

With over 500 leases across 17 states, that have extensions, amendments, and modifications, VL is the tool that first organizes then allows for quick retrieval of all of our leases.

Visual Lease provides us the reports that we need for our annual audit. The reports are concise, clear and contain everything needed for footnote preparation.

Honestly I don't have any drawbacks regarding Visual Lease. At my company we utilize it for both lease management and accounting. This means we need to coordinate with our facilities group which is slightly cumbersome but since they're a joy to work with, it all works out in the end!

While the overall performance is solid, there are instances of occasional glitches or bugs that disrupt the workflow. These hiccups, though infrequent, can be frustrating.

Despite its user-friendly design, there is a learning curve associated with some of the more advanced features. It took me some time to fully grasp the intricacies of certain functionalities, which might be a barrier for new users. This is where Jackie came in and helped.

Visual Lease can be resource-intensive, particularly when handling large datasets and abstracting multiple leases. This has occasionally led additional frustration.

The system makes tracking leases easy. The system has many useful reports that are esay to download including journal entries and footnote support. We use Visual Lease often for monthly and yearly journal entries and quarterly and year end procedures. Implementation is very smooth as Visual Lease provides great customer support throughout the process and coaches uses along the way. Overall the integration was easy and helped us get ASC 842 implemented in a timely manner.

There isn't much to dislike about Visual Lease.

I like the user friendliness of the system. The look of the system and straightforwardness of it-is very appealing to the eye.

I find that the user manual is not as comprehensive as it could be and that sometimes-examples of how to accomplish something or the reason behind something are lacking.

The software is helping us to maintain and organize our leases in a better way. Additionally, it is helping with our reporting for the accounting standards.

VL is very user friendly. The customer support has been awesome. No hidden fees anywhere. The layout of the admin portal is also quick and efficient. We buy multiple companies a year so setting up new branches/groupings is important to us.

I really don't have any complaints. The only thing I've noticed is sometimes the JE feature leaves residual pennies in your GL. It doesn't fully amortize the lease. But it's never been more than 5 cents.

Lease accounting present value calculation and notification for when leases expire. We do not use the FInance lease feature so I cannot speak to that.

I like how easy it is to navigate in the platform and the hands-on approach of their staff when I have a question. They always respond in a timely manner. Always!

I need to know a little more about the financial auditor report Visual Lease (VL) generates for me at the end of our fiscal year. The amortization is not idential to our general ledger and it comes from having 2 ASC842 amortization schedules from the same Real Estate location created during the year.

It has been a life-saver for handling are Real Estate leases and Vehicle leases. Our FY2022 audit was a success, which was improtant since we implemented ASC842 on 1/1/2022. Also, the customer service has alwasy been very helpful and have answered all of my questions in a professional manner. With that said, we renvewed our subscription with Visual Lease for another year, and expect to have their platform for Florida Cancer Specialist for the foreseeable future.
