Utilizamos Visual Expert para el mantenimiento de nuestras aplicaciones. Antes de realizar cualquier cambio evaluamos su impacto con VE.

También depuramos código revisando funcionalidad obsoleta.

It has lot of good features. I like impact analysis the most because I used in my day to day activity to determine the references. Also I like CRUD matrix and Code review functionality. Overall it's a good package with ample of features.

I am using this product and quite happy with that. Nothing to compliant about it.

It is really good tool to analyzed the power builder source code, SQL and Oracle database. Gives most of the required details which helps developer to refactor or optimize the source code.

It helps in database and code optimization by using code review features which gives details on missing primary key, indexes etc. also it gives details on component which is unused. So overall it gives us all the details on code review. Also it helps to determine the references with in code which is helpful while refactoring the source code. Another good thing is code comparison, which compare two sets of code and gives us the result in the nice graphical manner.

It is a unique product which can parse the Oracle and TSQL code and classify the objects and show the impact of each objects or items. Impact can be seen in diagram also.

Visual Expert saves my efforts while developing and maintaining our project as it provides functionalities for code review and performance improvements. They have an inbuilt ticketing system in the software to contact the support, and that really helps.

For a large amount of code visual Expert takes a long time to analyze and produce the required result, but Visual Expert comes with the functionality of scheduling the analysis as well as generating the documentation, which mitigates this issue partially.
