At OpenAgent we run all our transactional emails though Vero and have been very impressed with i's performance and functionality. The tool provides both great APIs as well as interface to create segments, campaigns, email templates as well as push in parameters.
The customer service is also top notch and local - for us in Australia anyway. Highly recommended
Pushing a lot of event can quickly scale up the account in terms of the plan cost. I think a more sensible approach there based primarily on send volumes would be much more preferable to us. But I do understand the national in the pricing approach.

- Benefits are that Vero handles all the logic of events, customers, templates and segments. The data just needs to be pushed in.
We've tried multiple solutions to manage our transactional emails + our marketing emails and Vero does both properly. It means we can centralise our customer communications which ensures the best experience from a customer's perspective - on-brand, well delivered emails regardless of type.
Also doesn't need technical person to manage.
As always there are a long list of feature enhancements we'd like to see but i'm sure the vero team are busy and getting through them.
We send all our emails (aside from personal emails) via Vero. This means pre-sales content campaigns, post sale onboarding, then all the transactional emails to notify customers of events in our platform.
Having everything all in one place means we have one less thing to worry about.
+ The ability to pull in data from external sources is a game-changer for both ad-hoc and drip campaigns; I love pulling in manual data from a Google Sheets API to enrich & personalise ad hoc campaigns

Mainly transnational communications with our users based on application events.
This allows us to put content and communication ownership in the hands of the product and operations teams, as well as the troubleshooting of any unreceived comms.
We've been a customer of Vero's for years now. I've been incredibly impressed with their continued focus on customer feedback. They have always been transparent with where our requests fit in on their roadmap. I've always felt like they were willing to dig deep into any issues we were having and put the appropriate amount of resources behind investigating and resolving issues. You really feel like you have a true partner when working with Vero. It's not just another service you use -- it's a team that is there to grow alongside your business.
Selfishly I would like some of our companies' requests to be prioritized above other product requests. It's a minor dislike, since I understand that may not always be realistic -- they have a business to run. Perhaps just more transparent voting on product requests that individuals can see where their requests would end up on a roadmap.
We are a highly data driven business and love Vero's ability to leverage our data to build out campaigns that make sense for our business. They truly are market leaders where others may not quite know the benefits that Vero has to offer (yet).

I think Vero is incredibly easy once you get started. It is extremely intuitive, and logically structured. It differs in this way very positvt relative to other large, complex and cumbersome systems.
A phone support would be very helpful, and save time. It could, for example. be a paid solution.
In record time, we have a modern and advanced e-mail marketing setup. It is easy to change and very agile.
