I appreciate that Unit21 was built with compliance teams in mind, most of the products in this space requires a lot of engineering support. The ability to customize rule, alerts and workflows without engineering support is a game changer! It also integrates well with other systems, it's very easy to navigate and it allows us to adapt quickly to emerging risk, as it supports real time monitoring. My team can monitor alerts in real time, manage cases and escalate easily, all within the platform. The team is also exceptional, the level of support we receive is one of the many reasons we love working with Unit21.

With the volume of cases we see, the interface can feel a bit clunky and the search filtering can be a bit slow. Also, setting up rules can be time consuming.

It centralizes our investigations; having an end to end case management system makes it easy for our Compliance team to tag, review, escalate alerts and document decisions and file reports. It has significantly improved how we detect and respond to suspicious activity and transactions.

Unit21 has been extremely helpful in working with us to get our data integrated into their system. I appreciate their flexibility in figuring out how to handle our data files, especially since we have a specific way of organizing them that doesn’t align perfectly with their standard setup. They’ve been willing to explore options and test configurations to make the data work, which is important for us. Unit21 also has great starter rules and scenarios, and a dedicated team to work through the entire implementation process. We are thankful to have that kind of support as we move forward.

Unit21 has been excellent thus far in terms of our banking-as-a-service business line.

Unit21 is solving problems within banking-as-a-service given their capabilities to tailor specific partner rules and holistic monitoring processes. The system is nimble for administrators and end-users alike, allowing more control of the user experience and need.

What stands out most about Unit21 is its flexibility. It enables us to tailor rules and workflows to our specific needs without being constrained by a rigid framework. I also really value the hands-on support from their team. Whenever we had questions about setting up rules or optimizing workflows, they were quick to respond and even offered to help us build out specific scenarios. Another key feature I appreciate is the ability to test and validate rules before activating them—this gives us confidence that what we’re implementing will perform as expected. Overall, it’s a system that adapts to us, not the other way around.

Haven't experienced any setbacks from a user point of view.

Before adopting Unit21, we struggled with effectively monitoring and isolating alerts. Our RFI queue, for example, wasn’t functioning as intended and failed to properly isolate alerts, leading to inefficiencies. Unit21 helped us resolve those issues by enabling us to reconfigure the RFI queue to function more like a case queue, significantly improving our workflow. Rule-building is another area where we’ve seen major benefits. In the past, creating effective, manageable business rules was a challenge. Unit21 has made that process much more intuitive, and their team has been instrumental in helping us refine our rules. While we’re still working on optimizing certain aspects—like enhancing the AI agent to generate more actionable insights—the system has already saved us time by automating parts of our workflow and reducing manual effort. It’s not perfect yet, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.

The tool's ability to provide an effective way to analyze transactions, aggregate data, and detect links between people. The most remarkable thing about Unit21 is that it allows a compliance analyst to save considerable time when reviewing alerts, putting its functions of total transaction calculation, identification of specific flagged transactions, analysis of instruments and their possible connections with other users, and other remarkable solutions. In turn, their customer support has been attentive every time we have pointed out a deficiency in their product.

Likewise, although there is a considerable learning curve in the use of the features, once learned the tool becomes more than intuitive for an analyst. I say this because it is a platform that I use every day of my work, for the review of alerts and the preparation of narratives.

While it has a detailed documentation center on how to effectively configure the tool, and like other AML Compliance tools, it lacks a training center that would allow users of the platform to more intuitively learn how to use it. This is asserted because, like any transactional analysis tool, there is a very considerable learning curve, and it would save time and effort if there were something of the sort.

When you are using a product solution that is focused on protecting against fraud, you cannot fool around with the quality of those solutions. Unit 21 has been a fantastic product for our company.

We have been very fortunate, where there hasn't been any negatives to this product.

With even a hint of potential fraud hittin our system, Unit21 makes us aware of potential threats and allows for our team to prepare/act accordingly for any situation.

Nothing so far I could see in all the features
