The Customer Service team at Unimarket is second to none! If you have questions or concerns, they respond almost immediately.
They also are always making improvements and really listen to feedback from end users. I love attending the update meetings and hearing about all of the wonderful things that they are working on to make the system even better.
The demo environment is a bit of a challenge. It does not get updated from production. That is frustrating. I try to upload user information and keep it as current as I can, but a way to make it a true reflection of production would be great.
We had a very redundant, paper based procurement process. The requisitioner would type up the form, get signature approvals, bring it to us....then we would have to get new quotes with contract pricing....then we would have to enter the information from the requisition form into another system to place the order. Automation has saved us more hours than I could ever possibly estimate.
Their team is knowledgeable and dedicated to providing excellent customer service and support. Whenever we have a question or experience an issue with the integration, we open a ticket and they respond promptly and take time to understand our unique needs and work through a resolution. Their product is user friendly and they are always reaching out looking for ways to improve their product. I cannot recommend Unimarket highly enough for any business seeking innovative eProcurement solutions and exceptional customer care.
I don't know of any downsides other than the product is a little pricey, but worth it!
Unimarket is helping to simplify the path to procurement in the ever changing landscape that is higher eduction. They are always looking to automate and improve processes whenever possible.
The best part about Unimarket is the outstanding customer service provided by the entire team. I have been thrilled and surprised by the care that the team shows to help with our problems and find the best solutions.
The biggest downside we have faced with Unimarket has not been a Unimarket issue at all. Instead, we wish that we utilized more of the modules that Unimarket has to offer, as they are easier to configure and customize than our current Workday system.
Unimarket simplifies the Procurement process for our end users and makes it so that all transactions behave similarly. Unimarket also greatly reduces the time needed for reconciliation and invoicing since the invoices are automatically sent to our payment system once they are entered into Unimarket.
Unimarket has the perfect flexibility, where it helps in managing both sales and purchases.
Further, the developer made a design that easy to implement and run, and this makes it effective to optimize on how to use cash.
The suppliers contracts are well managed through the asistsance of the customer help which is intelligent and informed.
The operations of a company are fully managed by Unimarket, where buyers and suppliers are well handled and contracts created. There are mechanisms for supporting payments and the implementation process is also simple.
The platform helps us reduce the purchasing risks, where it makes it effective to create a lasting contracts with suppliiers. Further, the payment methods are authentic and certified, to avoid financial losses. The simplified sourcing from the software is also a sustainable option that defines the companies growth scope.

Various capabilities in the platform that helps the procurement process much more easier and useful for the future (tracking spends by department, category, individual) to allocate funds. You can also restrict some of the functionality by individual or by hierarchical level (assigning user or buyer function for example).

I have to say Unimarket has an outstanding team who will help you throughout the entire process. They will also ensure that all your needs are met.
tracking procurement spent in a decentralized environment, easily generate reports (data visualization), making multiple purchases at a one-stop location, etc. Looking forward to see the results after full implementation of the platform.
I like the ability to enter my receipts for reimbursement and make purchases from the homepage. I like that I can bring other team members in to approve my reimbursements as well. The college is also able to have multiple suppliers available for college employees to connect with. I am able to connect with large scale businesses as well as local businesses.
The homepage is WAY too busy and not intuitive. I have a tough time understanding their required terminology. While the actual look of the page is clean, there are too many tabs and too many separate guides. I find that local businesses are also having difficulty keeping up with sending us invoices too.
I highly suggest receiving multiple hours of training at different points to absorb all that unimarket has to offer.
Benefits would be streamlining expenses across the entire college I work at. Everything is more readily available rather than card purchases where many receipts are lost.

Customer support is excellent. Implementation was straight forward and easy to understand. The Unimarket team worked efficiently to assist us with integration points within our finance systems. This provided better insight for our approvers in gaining budget information at time of approval. This has assisted our university with approval flows and ordering processes. It has allow us to better track orders, receive goods, and process invoices. This ensures a more timely payment to our suppliers, which allows us more negotiating power. Our users seem to take to the interface with ease. They really like the Marketplace structure and having access to our vendor database.
No current integration for tracking 1099 suppliers. However they are working on it.
Moving our university towards a more efficient procure to pay electronic process.
