The amount of functionality and features Unilog provides compares with platforms that cost 5x the amount.
A future enhancement that enables open source modules or other external integrations that customers can develop in house, or with other third parties, would be a great benefit. Although Unilog's team is great, you are locked in to using only their consultants.
I've never seen a better eCommerce platform for the money. There is virtually nothing you cannot do, especially if you're flexible and willing to invest in minor customizations for your specific needs or differentiation.
I like the easy platform that is maneuverable in so many ways. It allows me to do multiple tasks at ones while i'm doing my daily job. The layout is a huge upgrade from the original platform.
Well like my first comment on being able to do multiple task, you do have to be taught where to go and it's not always easy to do that is really the only downside.
I can't speak for other platforms because this is the only one I have used but, I have nothing to complain about Unilog CIMM. They are always developing with the times and being ahead of the curve in industries. It is a great and continuously developing system.

The software works; right out of the "box". This is the first major software implementation where the software did what was expected (demo'd). The implementation time was weeks, not months or even years. The technical support is outstanding and the entire support team (that I have had contact with) are knowledgeable, or even experts, in the software and even in our industry. We can comfortably say that we have a world class e-commerce solution to offer our customers.
As an e-commerce solution, catalog, and PIM it is outstanding. As a web design piece it lags a bit behind other well know tools (WordPress, Adobe, etc.). As such there are some limitations to the design of static webpages - unless you know html programming (which I do not). My understanding though is that the newest version is much better. We recently reviewed this version and are looking forward to our upgrade.
If you are evaluating CIMM (or any other e-commerce platform) ask them to show you how to do what you do today. in other words after the canned presentation ask them to walk through some of your real world example and how it would be done in their system. Ask them to add one of your items and one of your categories. These are some of the items that convinced us this would be a success here.
The PIM provides a robust set of tools for maintaining item information. Import and export utilities are simple yet powerful so mass updates are not only possible but easy. Because the backend is so easy to use we can quickly train new team members to work inside the software.
The catalog tools and features are first rate. This allows us to provide an excellent user experience to our customers.
The SEO is very good without much user interaction. Items frequently show up in Google searches.
The PIM is very easy to use. Very easy to upload parts into.
Is it a plus or minus that so many modifications can be made?!? Also wish customers could search by their part number in order status.

We signed on a few months ago and at this time, the communication is excellent. The staff at Unilog has been conducting a very thorough discovery of our needs for our business.
The impressive part is the focus on the details that are capable of being part of the early discussions for implementation because the CIMM2 platform is well thought out and many of the paths that would be addressed much later are already carefully in place so we can focus on the unique needs of our business.
We have not launched yet, but today, I am very impressed and pleased to hear of the many ways they plan to continue to enhance CIMM2 over time. Great software and responsive service.

Having invested in our B2B solution with three previous partners, we have been forced to settle and abandon all previous investments for a substantial loss. These firms claimed to understand B2B and when we asked for functions that would serve critical needs for any industrial products company, these partners would charge substantially to customize the software and it was never stable and reliable. Five years later, we decided to choke on the investment and start again with CIMM2. I can assure you we did our homework and we were shocked to see that this software already included nearly all of the "Custom" functions we paid so much to other firms to produce with failed results. We can offer our customers more than just an ecommerce website... we can provide an interactive experience that will strengthen relations, provide the customer with useful tools to customize their experience, build brand loyalty and provide informative and useful content in such an advanced way, we will be years ahead of our competitors in the most important growth area of our industry.
CIMM2 allows me to see all of my items and manage the publishing to the multiple sites, public and private, that we have built to support our business.
The views used for product categorization could be cleaner. However, I believe this is being addressed with the new version of the product.
