What do you like best about Unacast?
Great customer service, with fast response to your questions. The team was always willing to help me with my many questions.
What do you dislike about Unacast?
Recommendations to others considering Unacast?
The ability to bring in our own polygons was a game-changer for foot traffic data for us.
What problems is Unacast solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have no major dislikes or downsides to using Unacast at the moment. It's been a pretty smooth transition from our previous data provider.

PURE Data Feed
What do you like best about Unacast?
The key differentiator for us when deciding to purchase the Unacast Pure Data feed was the bi-hourly updates of data provided to the cloud.
What do you dislike about Unacast?
Appreciated also the flexibility provided to suit our contract and payment needs!
Recommendations to others considering Unacast?
I do not think there are any downsides by using Unacast. Acquiring such datasets may have some issues but it does not have anything to do with Unacast but rather than with the process/data itself.
What problems is Unacast solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using the PURE Dataset my company has the ability to understand human mobility. Where and when people move in certain locations of interest. Can not disclose any further information.

Excellent data and a great collaborator
What do you like best about Unacast?
The Unacast data that I use (Pure and Activity) provide high quality and detailed information on mobility patterns. I particularly appreciate the ways in which the Activity feed has clustered pings together, compared to the Pure feed. I also found the support that Unacast provided to be exceptional. I was able to get on a Zoom with one of their engineers so that I could understand some aspects of their data that were confusing me and that conversation really helped me to better understand how I could get the most value out of their data.

As an academic, I am also a bit of a difficult client since my ability to purchase data relies on securing grant funding, which can take as long as two years. Unacast was a great partner through that process. We got some pilot data at a reasonable price that we were able to learn on and those data really helped us to secure the money we needed to purchase their data.
What problems is Unacast solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's almost a humble brag, but the biggest problem with Unacast and their data is the size of the data! I am not used to working with datasets that are tens to over a hunder TB in size. That was a really steep learning curve and again something where Unacast listened and worked with me to help figure out how I could manage the data more efficiently.

We left our last data provider because of the support and lack of accessibility; Unacast's team has done everything to make us feel like a priority.

Solid geolocation partner with great account support
What do you like best about Unacast?
Unacast has been receptive to changes we needed in how they deliver their data and insights to our team. In general, the team is very responsive and easy to work with.
What do you dislike about Unacast?
The worst thing about Unacast is the same flaw with most geolocation companies which is that the data is derived from SDKs over which they have little control.
What problems is Unacast solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unacast is part of our data backbone which is used for activation, measurement, and analysis across our digital and in-store media products. It's helped us get more sophisticated in the solutions we deliver.

Reliable data feed and an awesome support team!
What do you like best about Unacast?
The daily data feed reliably arrived with appropriate metadata for us to perform ETL actions and begin analysis. The Unacast team was always promptly responsive to any questions. If our primary contact didn't immediately know the answer to one of our questions, he communicated within Unacast and provided us with an answer promptly. From a cost perspective, utilizing an existing source of relevant data was more cost-effective than designing and launching a new data collection process.
What do you dislike about Unacast?
There is nothing to dislike about the Unacast team. All data sets have strengths and weaknesses; that is reality and has nothing to do with Unacast in particular. Some data labeling changed, but it was telegraphed in advance so we could adjust the ETL procedure slightly.
What problems is Unacast solving and how is that benefiting you?
At Stanford we utilize Unacast data for epidemiological studies. A daily feed of mobility and granular venue visit data has the potential to assist with forecasting disease spread. There is significant potential for mobility data to contribute to public health efforts in the future.

Great visitor information source
What do you like best about Unacast?
Visitor information for the project would not have been available without Unacast, it provided a solid understanding of who is visiting our sites.
What do you dislike about Unacast?
Nothing comes to mind. We did have a bit of back on some aspects of the data but that was sorted out.
What problems is Unacast solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding who visits these sites without having to do actual visitor counts which wouldn't be practical given the number nor would it provide the additional demographics

Unacast Data solves media questions
What do you like best about Unacast?
The data is exactly what we need to help clients understand consumer behavior. The best part is not the data but the people of Unacast. Their client success teams are involved and help with solutions.
What do you dislike about Unacast?
There are not a lot of things I dislike about Unacast. I do wish there were some online ways to manipulate their data. We currently take a data excerpt for the work we do.
What problems is Unacast solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving for people movement as it relates to media usage. Meaning, we are looking at the digital and broadcast behaviors of the consumers visiting certain retailers to help those retailers and media properties better serve their consumers.
