"Twine facilitates meaningful interconnectivity and eases remote onboarding woes."
What do you like best about twine?

Twine is able to bridge the digital work from home (WFH) gap connecting groups of 2-5 people together for conversation over the platform. The platform on the back end is very easy to use, allows for question prompts to be created, and is much easier than organizing breakout rooms in other platforms to facilitate getting-to-know-you conversation. When we used the tool our organization had under 50 people so the software was free which was a bonus! We have many new remote hires, gone are the days of chatting by the water cooler about what you did on the weekend, and in its place is this tool to help connect humans and ease remote onboarding isolation. The prompts are what the user makes of them, though the platform does have some auto-generated suggestions if the user so chooses. Post-function stats allow for ROI analysis and help visualize the software's value. The best part? It is fun. We had just under 50 positive reviews and look forward to connecting again using the tool.

What do you dislike about twine?

There were some complaints about being matched with the same people, I wonder if there might be a way to better mitigate this on the development side. Overall the troubleshooting and customer service support was excellent. I give the company kudos for their patience while figuring out one of our connection issues... after checking firewalls, VPNs, possible virus software conflicts ... the problem ended up being that our employee did not have their camera turned on (facepalm). You do need a camera for the experience :)

What problems is twine solving and how is that benefiting you?

Twine helps to solve the lack of meaningful face-to-face connectivity in WFH environments and allows its users to get to know one and other. Making and deepening interpersonal connections, especially pertaining to new hires, helps to build positive workplace culture and helps the flow of communication within the company overall.

"Where remote meetings create energy (versus depleting it)!"
What do you like best about twine?

We were looking for a tool to help our team members connect in a way that was different than yet another virtual video call. twine fit the bill easily. We find it to be spontaneous, energetic, collaborative and most of all fun! Colleagues were so jazzed after our first "speed dating" meeting that they were immediately private messaging me asking, "When can we do this again?!"

What do you dislike about twine?

There is very little to dislike about twine so far. If the tool were to provide built-in activities (like 'little known fact bingo' or similar) it would make impromptu gatherings easier to generate last minute.

Recommendations to others considering twine:

The idea of speed networking can be intimidating for those who have never experienced it. I suggest having a trial session where you ask your participants to indulge you by hanging on through two speed networking sessions (maybe 3-4 minutes each). Once they've tried it they'll be hooked! This product sells itself!

What problems is twine solving and how is that benefiting you?

We discovered twine because our leadership team of 40 (we are a 1,400+ global org) was challenged with the task of meeting one-on-one with each other - in the span of 10 working days! It's not easy to fit 39 meetings into that period of time *and* maintain your day job! One of our colleagues searched for a "remote speed dating" solution and happened upon twine. The rest is history! Our team was able to complete all our one-on-ones in two 90-minute fast-paced, fun filled meetings! We did a rotation of 4-minute meetings where participants shared their role/title, what they're working on and what needs they have, if any.

We laughed A LOT and enjoyed the spontaneous nature of the quick rotation. The interface was lovely and included the prompting questions along with a little timer in the corner with chiming alerts to keep track of when the session would end. It was branded to our company's colors, logos etc. so it looked like our own space.

People loved it so much we decided to look for ways to use it cross-departmentally within teams for connection and collaboration. We added a twine session to the end of an all-company Townhall where hundreds of our team members were able to randomly connect with colleagues from across the globe. It was a huge hit! I personally got to speak with a co-worker from the Phillipines. In my role, this is a person whom I would never have the need to talk with yet through use of twine, we had a meaningful and impactful conversation.

"Digital Realty rates Twine 10 out of 10!"
What do you like best about twine?

Our company recently used Twine for the first time for our annual Sales Kick Off program and the feedback was amazing! From beginning to end, the twine team was available, supportive and provided fast responses. They were and open to all feedback along the way and implemented some changes that we had suggested. They are constantly implementing upgrades which will make the experience even better in the future. Our team raved about there experience with Twine including direct quotes like “this is the next best networking experience to being in person”, it made our event a true success as we have colleagues located all over the globe who have never met each other face-to-face and thanks to Twine they were able to. We look forward to continuing working with Twine as it’s been a great relationship and we know there are more exciting things to come from the Twine team.
