Limited Third-Party Integrations, Occasional Mobile App Connectivity Issues, Lack of Subfolders, Occasional Notification Issues
Tutanota, an encrypted email service, has received generally positive feedback from users. Reviewers praise its strong security features like end-to-end encryption and open-source code, as well as its user-friendly interface and ease of use. However, some users have expressed concerns about occasional bugs and stability issues, and the limited features compared to more established email providers. Overall, Tutanota is a secure and reliable choice for privacy-conscious individuals and organizations, but users who seek advanced features or seamless integration with other tools may need to explore alternatives.

support is fantastic, uptime great, services and addons reasonably priced.
had a few issues when doing upgrades/downgrades but they were more than fair about it (it was clunky)
just the encryption part is like gold to me. i needed an email host that does one thing brilliantly. they do that!
Tutanota has an encrypted mailbox, contacts and calendar, which is great to organize your business routine in a secure way. All data is stored encrypted on servers in Germany where strong GDRP rules apply.
The two best things I like:
EMail: What is great is that I can even send encrypted messages (and files) to others with a simple password exchange.
Calendar: We have a shared 'Teams' calendar, which makes it easy to get organized and all data is kept secure, and instantly synced to all devices.
Thus far, I am pretty happy. The only thing that is missing right now is being able to access my calendar when offline.
But as far as I know the Tutanota team is working on offline mode and I am really excited for the feature coming to the apps. I use the iOS app quite a lot (which responds fast and is easy to navigate) and quick access to the calendar is needed - even when there is no internet connection.
I handle a lot of sensitive data that I need to share encrypted with my customers. Apart from that, it just feels great that Tutanota encrypts all data (I am one of these guys who think privacy is important).
- Open Source and privacy friendly
- Cool interface
- Strong encryption
- Lack of integration with CRMs
- Lack of custom clients
- Make integrations with custom email clients and CRMs a possibility
I am not worrying about my privacy. Emailing with Tutanota is a breeze - encryption does it work.
Tutanota is easily accessible and manipulated. The members of the organization manage it and dominate from the first moment.
The security it offers us is required by the information system of our work center.
The operating characteristics of Tutanota have met all expectations; So far no complaints have been reported in the organization
Ideal for all those companies or workplaces that look for excellence, since being protected their information contributes to reach the organizational goals
Insecurity in the information process is part of the past. Tutanota provides us with the armor we need.
The positive effect that Tutanota has caused in our organization is remarkable.
While you are working you will be sure that none of your data will be used without your authorization, the encryption is present from the first step of starting the section. It is very easy to use, it does not have any complication in sending or receiving emails. Also if you send an email to another service that is not tutanota (gmail, yahoo, etc) the email is encrypted and to open it you have to open it in a new page that is not saved in the history; This is very important to know that security is present at any time.
The interface is also beautiful, it is simple and reminds a lot of gmail or yahoo, this allows you to quickly get used to the environment.
Although I like the interface very much, I have to say that the color red is not my taste.
I am completely satisfied with Tutanota, it is easy to use and you are safe at all times thanks to the encryption. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to work with a safe and practical email service.
Every day I send many emails, both in my personal life and at work, and know that my personal data (which I have to provide myself, to be able to acquire the account) can be used without my authorization so that the company that provides the service. Tutanota solves this problem, protecting my data and encrypting my emails (and files attached to the message). Work more quiet with tutanota than with other email services.
Tutanota is a very secure email service with some great features. What I like the most about Tutanota is, not only I can send an encrypted email, with the subject, attachments and the body all encrypted but also recieve an encrypted email from users of other email service providers.
I found that once you lose your password it is unrecoverable.
I would recommend Tutanota because there are few email service providers which gives you the kind of security and privacy that Tutanota offers. Furthermore, it is free.
Emails nowadays are prone to all kinds of attack and this has led to the growth of secure email providers like Tutanota. Ever since we adopted Tutanota we worry less about who might lay their hands on our emails because they are encrypted. Some email providers also give users' information to third party, this in not the case with Tutanota because it has an end-to-end encryption

Tutanota is an end-to-end encrypted service that I mostly use whenever I want to send sensitive emails. It has a simple interface and its app on my device works flawlessly.
There is not much to dislike! The only minor annoying thing that I can think of is the "new version is available, please refresh" pop-up that shows from time to time when I check my mailbox on the browser. I do not get why it does not automatically update itself to the latest version.
Tutanota enables me to send and receive end-to-end encrypted emails and keeps my data safe from prying eyes. Hence, makes handling sensitive info more pleasant.
