My favorite thing about it is how practical it makes my work! Some points my team got to really apreciate was the resize of VMs, DB'S and Clusters :)

I also find the recommendations tool very useful! Helps me keep in check with services like Virtual Machines, Unattached Disks and Kubernets.

I don't think there's a bad side to IBM Turbonomic. Me and my coworkers are really enjoying it so far!

IBM Turbonomic is definetly solving financial issues we had before. It helps managing money, plans and performance (in Cloud)! It's a lot easier to organize myself now that we are using this :)) My coworkers also agree!

O que eu mais gosto do Turbonomics é a facilidade que conseguimos visualizar gargalos em determinados agrupamentos ou até recursos esquecidos que geram custo. Conseguimos automatizar as ações em cima de eventos específicos do ambiente.

Conseguimos facilmente delegar para os Gestores do Projeto a gestão das visões da ferramenta de forma segregada e segura.

Eu acredito que deveríamos ter módulos de visibilidade na gestão de rede e na gestão de segurança com boas práticas e conformidade. E sinto muita falta de uma ferramenta de análise dos recursos x o faturamento ou ao contas a pagar.

A visibilidade sobre recursos foi a funcionalidade mais impactante, conseguimos ter visão em tempo real de quanto está a utilização e criar estratégias de economia, seja com dimensionamento correto ou até com liga e desliga de ambientes inteiros.

i didin`t find issue for to say dislike but one point is about the price of license for workload and this can be limited your workload and to be a issue for your company.

very important resolv about some features and license for vcpu or machine. its very important for company about de cost to new workload and infrastructure. but i like this.

Turbonomic ensures that our clusters are intelligently balanced and that virtual machines and containers are correctly allocated resources. Once integrated with our APM tool, it adds to the analysis of the environment.

For now, I dislike nothing about Turbonomic

For sure i honestly like the recommendations about our workloads and services (Virtual Machines, Kubernets, Unattached Disks) and we have a lot of things to do in AKS, EKS and GKE, that we doesn't know if we haven't Turbonomic

The FinOps Team use Turbonomic to work and reductions too, like resize of DB's, VMs, and Clusters

Sincerely we don't have a "bad" or "miss" thing in Turbonomic, that ARM are amazing to work, gave us money, and a good infrastructure, of course that we have a lot of work to do yet, but, until now, Turbonomic has impressioned all people that work with me positively

We had problems about save money in clouds, like CUDs, saving plans, cheap instances, performance, and all that problems we can solve with Turbonomic, principaly money saving, we work with 3 clouds, and we installed that ARM in 3, we save a lot of money, and solve problems about perfomance and number of instances too, maybe, in the next year, we can amplie our infrastructure because we solve this problems!

Turbonomic is very unstable, apparently it does not support large data loads, I had many kubeturbo synchronization problems and slowness in generating dashboards.

Turbonomic solved problems in calibrating container deployments, request and limit recommendations, moving pods between nodes, the tool solves these problems with excellence.

Being a fairly complex solution it can be difficult to configure, however it is worth it as it is such a powerful tool for resource utilization and process improvement. It should be verified beforehand if it is compatible with your process structure since it is not compatible with all of them. It requires qualified personnel that can operate the tool due to the complexity of the tool, promoting perhaps an extra expense in training within the employees.
