The most helpful functionality of TOAD is the interoperability with other databases and systems. The fact that I can tie in and compare results across platforms, even those in cloud environments is priceless. Add to that the ability to automate data extracts, reports, tie in to email systems; and it becomes one of the most valuable tools in my portfolio.

I would love the ability to deploy TOAD utilizing OneDrive or Google Drive, that no matter what computer I'm working on, I can access all of my machines and databases. I've tried multiple approaches but nothing seems to work in keeping Projects and code snippets together seamlessly.

Give it a try for a solid 30 days. You'll thank yourself for investing the time in the product and its functionality.

I'm solving how to get data in and out of various stores. I'm automating reports and data feeds to internal and external customers. I'm utilizing to TOAD to help craft out the next strategic goals for our Data Governance team at my organization.

Simple to manage data retrieval and export with multiple servers. Group executing same query across servers at the same time also saves a lot time. SQL creation is intuitive in query builder. Creating and managing connections very simple. Easy exploration of data tables when needed.

Some visual bugs with automation tools and Windows server OS. Can't group execute in an automated task, you have to loop through connections. Looping connections does work, but it is time consuming not intuitive to set up. This is in development que though.

Very capable and cost effective solution for managing your data. The support staff responds promptly to your submissions. They are interested is solving your problem, not just closing a ticket.

Data the way we want it, when we want it critical to our operations. We are able to make pricing, purchasing, and store operational decisions that have a direct impact to the P&L with our data access.

I can use my SQL Server connection alongside Excel .csv or any other file type. Being able to bring in multiple data points has allowed me to make my relationships between tables more efficient and my queries less time-consuming. The visualization tool is also super useful and user-friendly

What I do not like is that there are so many Toad programs offered that it was hard for me to know this was what I needed. I had tried Toad SQL Server and some other products before finding this one fulfilled all my needs

The business problem I was trying to solve was to have several file types pulled into a table and aggregated BEFORE taking it to my BI tools so that my tables were more specific and pre-aggregated. I have realized that DataPoint does a fantastic job with this and my BI tools have greatly benefited.

We are using this Toad data point 3.6.1 from the year of 2013 and this is very well used for the analytical research for our recovery applications.

I am using this TOAD software from the year of 2008 and particularly toad data point for the US Healthcare Projects. Most of the features are very Good one and below are the highlighted one:

1. Cross-connected with Any databases like SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle and DB2 for Mainframe.

2. Export wizard functionality is easier in order to transport the data to .txt, csv, xml & other types quickly.

Toad allows me to connect to several different sources, including Excel files, to analyze data and create reports in one spot using intuitive, drag and drop tools. I no longer need to ask someone from IT to write an SQL query or try to limit myself to what I can fit into Excel to be able generate valuable insights and reports to share with leadership.

Some of the data sources I connect to are very primitive and still use pipe delimited flat files. I have figured out a way to connect to these but it was very difficult.

Toad Data Point is the perfect tool for users needing to work with and analyze data within databases but don't have the expertise or necessity to build or maintain the databases. If you can use Excel or Access, you can use Toad.

I work with healthcare data, to get an accurate picture of how our business is performing I need to mine many data sources in varying formats. Toad Data Point lets me do that quickly and easily. I can save queries for relevant reports and rerun them with a single click when any source is updated.

The possibility to do Data Point query builder it' s huge feature very flexible and useful for Oracle softwares

I can t dislike any feature of this software.In our company we use it and we are fully satisfied

We solving relations between General Ledger mismatching with the slaes orders area.

I love the code formatting and how it shows me when I've made an error. I like how easy it is to how others how to write sql with toad.

When I do make an error in my code - there are times that it pops up a help screen. I would prefer that it would only pop that up if I requested it.

I wanted an easy way to allow some of the more advanced business users to connect to and query the database. Toad data point was an easy solution.

Toad saves up to 5 result tabs, so when you run a query and then change something, it'll save both runs so you have something to compare

Toad isn't too intuitive at first and you have to spend some time exploring before figuring out how to use it

Spend some time getting trained on all the features available and what will help the most with your needs

Data analysis - helps us extract data on a regular basis. We are trying to implement Toad Data Point as well to better meet our needs for data analysis.
