Tipalti has helped us scale our A/P process significantly in the past year. We've gone from paying our partners manually, one by one, to automating a bulk of the work. Reaaly there are no downsides, it's an excellent tool.
In the past, paying our staff overseas was extremely tedious, it took a long time, and essentially created payment delays. We had to use different platforms for each country and the overall payment process was much more time consuming and there was a lot of room for error, because payees could not edit their information. Once we started using Tipalti, paying ALL of our staff became a matter of 5 minutes! It's great to have all payments integrated in one place and the platform is user friendly, which alerts me when something is under risk review, I really like that. I also really like that my staff can edit their bank information themselves wehenever they want.
The reports are very helpful. And all the invoices, payments, etc can be downloaded easily. The email notifications for remittances, payment rejections, etc reduces a lot of manual work.
Sync issues happen sometimes and invoices or payments don't show up. Have to reach out to Tipalti Support to get it resolved. Most of the issues get resolved quickly.
Tipalti provides a secure portal to collect and store vendor information. The OCR captures most of the information from the invoice and it remembers the coding information from previous transactions reducing the time required to submit an invoice for approval. In the past few months, there have been signifcant improvements which have led to the system being more efficient.

Tipalti has been such a life saver in terms of getting payments out in large batches and managing over 1,000 payees. I was handling everything by hand prior to Tipalti or using online banking, and by switching I have saved so much time. The process of getting set up and migrating some data over took some time and brain power, but Tipalti was right beside me the whole way. The support staff has been great and are always willing to help. The biggest con for me right now is just not being able to quickly see a check image. I have to request that through support. It usually doesn't take long, but it is an extra step. With that said, it isn't THAT big of a con :)
