TINYpulse Engage allows us to get a better understand of our team members and how they're feeling, in any given season. It also helps us to be able to interact with them and find solutions that will increase their happiness. On the other hand, if their happiness is high, we like to find out why so we can repeat that in a variety of ways.
Sometimes the questions are not relevant to us or our team, and sometimes these questions don't seem like they have a full grasp of valuable feedback. I'd say, however, this is infrequent, but they do pop up every once in a while.
It allows us to measure both happiness and stress level of the team. It allows us to listen to feedback, but also to take that feedback and implement strategies to find solutions to whatever may be the root of a lower-numbered ranking.

TINYPulse is a great way to recognize your team members and be able to call out specific things they did to contribute to pushing the needle forward. Sometimes it can feel awkward to praise someone directly over email or a chat function so it's nice to have TINY dedicated to this purpose and also allows "admin" or "management" the oversight to see where their team goes above and beyond. I love being able to celebrate my colleagues in an effective but also efficient way.
I don't find any downsides personally. I think it may not be the top way everyone likes to be celebrated but that's personal preferences.
Recognition for co-workers for the "little" things. Some people thrive more on being noticed for the day-to-day. It helps keep people motivated knowing that others notice their contribution. Especially as it doesn't come only from your superior, anyone on your team can celebrate something you did.

A cleaner way to complete company-wide yearly performance reviews would be helpful. TinyPulse is our primary tool for this. If we could find a more efficient way, it could be more accessible for our reviewers and provide review information faster.
