What do you like best about PhotoShelter Chorus?

Very user friendly and easy to navigate your way around it, we can't imagine working without it as it is a very popular and trusted resource across our regional teams. The customer and IT support you get from the team at Third Light is also fantastic. The Presets for downloading images such as scaling for Powerpoint templates has been so popular and it is the home for all our brand identities in various file formats. Allowing controlled access to our Design Agency partners also saves myself and many colleagues a great deal of time and assists collaboration on projects. It has been great value for money in allowing the company to share assets.

What do you dislike about PhotoShelter Chorus?

I don't dislike anything - it meets all our needs 100%. As the Administrator I have never received any negative feedback from users during all the years we have used the library.

What problems is PhotoShelter Chorus solving and how is that benefiting you?

The ability to share our vast media assets on Third Light across our many regions / teams makes a massive difference to our daily way of working, empowering users to browse and share what they need instantly. The analytics allow us to maintain the site extremely well and monitor its successful use. We are also able to control the quality of our imagery which is a huge step forward. Using the admin tool to enforce metadata during upload also maintains very successful search results.

What do you like best?

Two things I love about third light.

First: the team. Unlike many other providers in the space, you get to speak to real humans who genuinely care. This immediately elevates the experience.

Secondly, the software itself - we have a whooooole bunch of files, and the thing that really elevates Third Light is it's ease of use, particularly when delving through large swathes of files.

What do you dislike?

There is inevitably a learning curve with Third Light, and it depends on having a discipline when adding files to make sure everything is tagged in the appropriate way. When it is however, it elevates the experience massively.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Speak with the team - they genuinely care. Have in mind how you are going to use it.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The biggest problem was me: making sure everything was tagged appropriately. That being said, when I got into the practice, that became a problem no more.

What do you like best?

The customer success team at Third Light is second to none. They consistently demonstrate the willingness to go the extra mile to make you feel confident and assured about Chorus. They evaluated our business challenges and propose solutions. Patient, personable and pro-active. They are also transparent about what's achievable i.e. they do not over-promise and under deliver.

What do you dislike?

None as the Third Light team has been a dream partner in the sense that they are trustworthy and helpful.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Third Light is not the kind of partner who will overpromise in order to get a deal and under deliver. If you are looking for a partner you can trust, consider Third Light.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our business challenge is having a self-service aftersales assets portal for customers which will become the one place that houses assets from multiple sources.

"Stable platform which has helped us move our business online with great ease"
What do you like best?

When we needed an off the shelf digital platform for sharing our photography we picked Thirdlight. In the 10 years since we've been able to grow and expand our service with ease. Over that whole period I can't remember having any downtime at all and any issues were addressed with speed. Being able to access all the different features of the Thirdlight product without incurring any developer or project management cost has left us able to focus on delivering our core offering.

What do you dislike?

Thirdlight does everything it sets out to do. As I write this in September 2020 I can see that that last time I needed to get in touch with Thirdlight support was over three years ago. Given we upload hundreds of pictures daily, have many Gbs of outgoing FTP transmissions and thousands of customer accounts I consider this phenomenal performance.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We started using Thirdlight at a time when we were too small to justify bespoke development but we needed a digital product. Thirdlight enabled us to begin offering our services to a new market and was one of the key factors that has driven us from a regional UK company to become an international one.

Thirdlight CHORUS is a brilliant digital asset management
Its been a wonderful and truly professional working experience with amazing technical support we have got from thirdlight at all times. Issues with solutions are resolved exactly the way we want. Also the whole UI is well thought and the system itself is perfect - i meant CHORUS digital asset management.

Digital Asset Management powerhouse
I found Chorus to be a sensible and powerful tool for approaching digital asset management across multiple departments. One of the most prevalent difficulties in a project like ours is consistency of metadata, as each manager tends to have their own system of tagging what is important to them. Chorus lets you create your own fields that are then presented to data entry specialists in a uniform fashion, ensuring that each image is tagged the way we need it to be tagged.

We also loved Chorus' native capability to crop, edit and download images on the fly for departments that do not have a photoshop specialist embedded. This has taken a huge load off the Marketing department.

Finally, I appreciate Third Light's willingness to train and troubleshoot. Our trainer made special arrangements to fit his UK schedule to our West Coast USA time zone, and we had a number of productive sessions with their support team to get our build running smoothly. Third Light continues to improve their product, and I highly recommend their service.

An outstanding product
An outstanding product, truly. One of the best information management platforms I've seen. Support is swift and friendly. Whenever I've asked for phone calls or web meetings to help set up or use Chorus (and IMT) they've jumped in quickly. The platform itself is intuitive and simple, which belies its power. This is transformative stuff for any organisation. Highly recommended.
