"Way more than expected"
What do you like best about TalentGuard?

When we started looking at Career Pathing products, we found TalentGuard. Little did I know that they had a suite of products and could help us out on many fronts. Great to deal with, helped us out on many fronts and listened to our needs.

What do you dislike about TalentGuard?

They askes more questions than most people. At first this was annoying yet later we realized they had more products and just wanted to provide the right solution.

What problems is TalentGuard solving and how is that benefiting you?

Initially Career Pathing. We ended up signing up for the entire suite.

"Great career pathing tool to drive employee engagement and development!"
What do you like best about TalentGuard?

I love that this is an employee driven tool that allows our employees to build out multiple career paths for themselves and see any gaps they have to fill for future positions they have their sights set on. There is no gray area. It is black and white. It is customizable and can be changed per company based on your specific needs. The certification tracking feature is also very helpful along with the succession planning module. I haven't seen another tool out there that comes close to what they offer.

What do you dislike about TalentGuard?

I would say the user interface/experience could use a little bit of work but TG is constantly working on updates and I know there is a big push coming soon they will give the site a completely different look.

What problems is TalentGuard solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main reason for us using this software was to increase development and retention of our staff. We wanted to make sure our employees knew the position opportunities available to them and for them to see what they needed to do to get there. The biggest benefits have been the uptick in employee development. They are getting more of the skills and qualifications they need to help increase their knowledge and prepare them for other positions in the company.

"TalentGuard is the glue that holds our Career Development Model together"
What do you like best about TalentGuard?

TalentGuard enabled us to eradicate any subjectivity out of our Career Development Model. It also helped us to make career progression within our company completely transparent. Employees can see in simple terms what's required of them (from a skills perspective) to execute their role and also what skills they will need to acquire to continue to develop and grow into their desired role. It has enabled us to ensure the critical focus is back on the career conversation where all the magic happens. TalentGuard also us to have a central hub for all our employees work experiences, skills and certifications. It allows each employee to manage (once agreed with their line manager) their career trajectory in bite sized managable chunks. Another benefit we've experienced and which massive positive impact is in the world where data is king, we now have access to a significant and extremely valuable set of employee relevant data which plays an important part in how we plan and continue to move forward as a people centric organisation. We're an IT Consultancy company so our people are most certainly are greatest assets.

What do you dislike about TalentGuard?

When we first started to use TalentGuard over two years ago, I was concerned our company, and its new Career Development model was too much for the system. I was concerned we came along too early in their evolution, especially in terms of how our Career Development Model would work. Working with the team at TalentGuard alleviated these concerns. They listened to us, they understood how our model was going to work, and they were able to advise us accordingly. This issues, I suppose, isn't directly or solely a TalentGuard issue, but with any SaaS package as a customer looking for a change or an enhancement, it has to undergo a more rigorous screening process as you request could have broader impacts not just on you - but working with the TalentGuard team we've come up with workable solutions in many cases.

Recommendations to others considering TalentGuard:

Be clear what your objectives are from the very outset, work with the TalentGuard team and ensure both of you are on the same page.

What problems is TalentGuard solving and how is that benefiting you?

TalentGuard is the software package that underpins our entire Career Development Model. It's effectively our one-stop shop for all things related to career advancement, certification management, managing our job roles and associated skills matrix. TalentGuard has also enabled us to create a suite of new employee centric dashboards which allow us to be proactive in areas such as certification management i.e. managing our various partnership statuses. It has also proved to a significant time saver when it comes to completing tender processes as we often need to supply data and proof that we have the skills and certifications to do the job we're tendering for.
