Tableau provides us with the best data cognition
PROS: The scalability of the program is outstanding. There are a variety of free alternatives for distributing and sharing reports and analysis, and using all of Tableau's products correctly creates unlimited scalability, which is helpful for any business to have immediate business intelligence. This is one of the most powerful components of it. Because of its highly developed intuitiveness, Tableau allows energy companies to have limited access to their employees, traditionally. Because Tableau is simple and intuitive, anyone at any level of the organization can find a reason to use it to improve the understanding of a specific business on a daily basis. Everyone can become a data collector in Tableau.

The Application Is Very Good But The Constant Updates For Desktop Version Are Annoying
PROS: I knew this service from the academic field and then I was able to transfer it to the workplace. Excellent tool for data capture, processing and visualization. The application of statistical models on the data that is displayed is very useful and this is not complicated. What hooked me with this service was undoubtedly the combination of very pleasant and interactive graphical visualizations along with the application of advanced statistical models in some cases.

"Best and the most intuitive visualization tool I have ever used"
What do you like best?

The dashboard feature works great, ability to refresh data on the fly. The set of suggested charts and graphs work for me most of the time. Can create custom charts too. The software works very well with location-based data. To top it all, there is a free Tableau Reader version available for those who don't have a license, hence you are not restricted.

What do you dislike?

There is definitely a learning curve to it. A user is out to struggle during week 1, but like every software, the more you use the better you become at it. One other thing I don't like is that the software is heavy and sometimes is not able to process very large excel files.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

will definitely recommend. once you learn the basics, you are never going back to PowerPoint for creating charts and dashboards

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

VIsualize large data volumes to unearth insights, create and update graphs on the fly. Create quick client-ready graphs and associated decks. and finally, the dashboard forms a great tool to tell a story and let users explore data for themselves.

"Easy Dashboarding Software"
What do you like best?

I love ho easy it is to visualize data using Tableau. My reports have been transformed from static spreadsheets to interactive dashboards that puts all of the data a user needs at their fingertips. Tableau also does an awesome job of adding new features with every new version of the software. Their training and support teams provide me with all of the knowledge I need to build dynamic interactive dashboards.

What do you dislike?

There is a bit of a learning curve especially with the syntax needed for some of the calculations. They do provide multiple options for training though from free online videos, to e-learning, and in-person classroom training.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Download the free trial for 30 days. Take advantage of the free online training videos.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using it to analyze retailer scan data and better understand category's and product trends. We also wanted to automate our monthly sales reporting from time consuming spreadsheets to a more interactive dashboard that users could drill to the level of detail they need.
