Yes we were also surprised to find ads between the links we made with the API in the free version. But nothing really comes without a cost so we opt for a subscription.

We used the hobby plan with great satisfaction for our research projects, and the interactions with customer support were prompt and positive.

What do you like best about T.LY?

This is the best URL shortner tool I came across; the Best part is tracking and the analytics it shows. A must-have no brainer tool to share big URLs using T.LY

What do you dislike about T.LY?

There is nothing to dislike except it would be better if there would be more features included

No recommendation except looking for some other features like landing pages or other as compared to other competitive tools available in the market

The tool's finest feature is its simplicity. Even if it's their first time using it, they'll quickly find out where to go. The tool's finest feature is its clear and straightforward design.

What do you dislike about T.LY?

The thing i think they can improve on is the option to add either the tag or may be same option to add the details about the link we just shortened so that i am not having to check every link to find even a single link.

What problems is T.LY solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest problem it has solved for me is of managing and creating short links for my website. With this tool, i can manage and track the traffic and make strategies accordingly.

"Really SHORT url shortener with advanced features"

What do you like best about T.LY?

Of all the URL shorteners out there, this is as short as the base domain can be. Great for when you are texting a link and trying to reduce the number of characters in the message. The free version is enough for the occasional low-volume user.

What do you dislike about T.LY?

I haven't been using it long enough to find much to dislike - I'm not sure what happens when you go over the limit of your plan - do the links quit working? The FAQs do not address this.

What problems is T.LY solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm able to reduce the number of characters in a text message when I'm sending a text, reducing the cost. It is also easier for someone to type fewer characters when they have to type a URL manually.

t.ly are some cheeky grifters

t.ly are some cheeky grifters. You sign up to manage your links, then they inform you a couple days later that they are going to delete your link unless you pay them.
Most companies who engage in this type of extortionary business model try to hide it better, but t.ly makes no such effort. They know no that no reasonable individual and very few businesses would pay for a link shortener upfront when free alternatives are a dime a dozen.
Lessons were learned - laughs were had. Be wiser than the rest of us and avoid this company on principle.

Didn't make it obvious it's paid, seem to have good features but after I printed the QR codes on a big board now it doesn't work. Dishonest and misleading.

This link shortening site

This link shortening site, supposedly founded by a few teenagers using WordPress, has been a complete disaster. I deeply regret making a monthly payment because the site crashes 15-20 times an hour, constantly giving a "Gateway time-out" error. The worst part is their customer service response; they have the audacity to say, "that's not our problem, the hosting company's servers are crashing." This is absolute nonsense!

I have over 30 active links I use for social media advertisements, and thanks to these incompetent teenagers, I am literally throwing money away. I am now moving my links and will never use this service again. I would rather pay $3,5 more for Bitly, which is far more professional and reliable. Avoid doing business with these amateurs at all costs

Update:It's completely gone since 3 hours!!

Total scam, do not use!

They 'forgot' to mention that they're a paid service. After 3 days or so they suddenly emailed that I needed to pay a montlhy fee, otherwise they wouldn't redirect my links anymore. I only readed their email one business day later and by then they allready had removed all redirections, and I lost dozens of saved links that were VERY important to me. I'm not even sure if I will be able to find them back all again.

Worst service ever, I wouldn't recomerend them to anyone. These are the kind of scam companies that you hope to get bankrupt soon.
