Big innovation for accounting

PROS: Simple because it has seamless UI, upfront functions, as well as it isn’t a buggy tool. It has high-speed loading time which makes it a stellar accounting platform too. I haven’t experienced accounting being this convenient ever before.

CONS: This is a superior accounting tool, but I experience some issues. Bank details don’t automatically reflect, so I need to manually encode them. If there’s an option that can solve such a problem, it is difficult to find on the platform.

Suitable for small companies and solo entrepreneurs

PROS: Easy to use, and is capable of efficiently doing a lot of functions such as handling invoices, quotes, costs, accounting, and reporting among other tasks. It runs online on the cloud as well, so it is easy to open anytime and anywhere. It is accessible for different operating systems and devices too.

CONS: It doesn’t have templates for financial documents, as well as it doesn’t integrate with email platforms. Moreover, it cannot create receipts and send paid invoices.

"Billy has turned traditional accounting on its head for me."
What do you like best?

Simplicity. Billy makes accounting simple. That's it. All other systems I've used were over-complicated with difficult interfaces. Not Billy. It is well designed, easy to follow and has an excellent non-fussy user interface. It also loads quickly and performs well as a SAS service overall.

What do you dislike?

Having to manually enter bank data instead of an automatic sync is a drawback. There may be a way to automate this but I haven't found it yet. If this is the case, it should be easier to find it and implement it. Aside from that, I find it an excellent product and a superb service.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I found I had to do the trial first to realize how easy it was going to be to switch. Then, when it all went smoothly, I was sold. The first look of the Billy App is rather simplistic, so it is easy to make a judgment that it is not comprehensive enough to run your business, but try it, you will be pleasantly surprised!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Automatic repeat invoicing is a huge benefit. I love that I can create new accounts or new products from various screens. In other words, I don't have to go back to a Create Account screen, or a New Product screen each time. I like its ease of use and the ease with which Billy shows the current state of play in my business is really helpful.

"Awesome for small companies and freelancer for their accounting needs."
What do you like best?

simplicity of the software and ablity to track expenses and invoice , quote management, contact management, accounting, expense management and financial reporting features are good. As a cloud-based solution, it can be accessed from anywhere, on any platform which is good as you can use it on the go

What do you dislike?

No email integration and lack of document templates. Also the software lacks the ability to generate receipts or send invoices marked as paid.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The software is still evolving but for small companies or freelancer it can handle almost all the accounting hassel. You can sign up for their trail and see it for youself if it is what you need before buying it but with it's ease of use it and its functionalities, i do not think you will be dissappointed .

What do you like best?

It's very easy to draft invoices and log bills. The dashboard easily allows me to see outstanding invoices and net profit. Very easy to integrate Stripe, or simply tell clients to pay by check via postal - can be set up per contract, rather than one setting for everyone.

What do you dislike?

When sending to multiple emails, there's no way to tell which 'email' viewed the invoice. It would also be nice to have a timestamp and record every time the client opened the invoice to view it.

If you're looking for simply invoicing software to keep track of income and expenses, I've found it to have all the features I need for my small business.

"Newcomer Invoicing & Billing Platform for Freelancers & Entrepreneurs"
What do you like best?

Form & function. For real the UI/UX is very nice. And you can configure the platform to be as in-depth and "accountanty" as you want or very simple and straight forward.

What do you dislike?

Truthfully I don't like the basic mobile app that Billy App has deployed so far. While not a major issue for me I always liked the Freshbooks mobile application so I could execute invoicing on the go without dragging out my laptop.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Definitely, give it a chance and do the trial. They are headed in the right direction and provide a wealth of features at a great price point.

Billy has replaced Freshbooks and Zoho Books for me. It's made billing much simpler and straight forward and because of the tight integrations with my other software apps and tools, it's saved me a ton of time.

"WAY simpler than QuickBooks"
What do you like best?

Ease of use - the matching of invoices and expenses - aaaaaaaah..... so intuitive.

How easy it is to see overdue payments

Excellent customer support

Great training sessions - to the point, well run.

Even my CPA accountant likes it! - especially since I now do a better job of adding my receipts instead of handing them a pile of paper to deal with. :)

What do you dislike?

Will need recurring billing (for subscription services)

Will eventually need to offer a payroll option.

Time tracking would be a bonus, but right now I do that in my project management software. No big deal!

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I have wanted to move off of QB for a loooong time. Couldn't decide between FreshBooks, Xero, or a few other solutions. When I saw the Billy webinar, it just looked so easy. I tried the introductory offer, and was hooked. Don't just buy it. Get your own information in there. I spent an afternoon creating 6 months of data. Wasn't bad. Familarized me immediately with the system, and my support questions were a lot more specific.

Because it's so simple, I stay on top of my financials so much better than I did with Quickbooks. I've reduced dependence on my bookkeeper. I have a clear picture of where the money is coming in and going out.

"Perfect for my needs"
What do you like best?

I love the bank reconciliation feature, multi currency support, and the fact that it's so fast and snappy. No more waiting around for your accounting software to do it's thing, it works great even on slow connections.

What do you dislike?

Not too much. Some of the cross currency operations I need to perform are a bit hackish still, but not a big issue.

What do you like best?

fast learning curve and easy to use interphase. It's very intuitive to use and the layout matches expectations. I live by the quote keep it simple, and that is exactly what Billy has done for my bookkeeping.

What do you dislike?

the app could be better. Its been a while since I looked at the App but last time it just didn't work probably. I should give it ago again

What do you like best?

I feel like Billy has simplified my accounting and billing. It's been great and the team is very supportive with any questions or problems I've had.

What do you dislike?

My bank was not recognized when I first signed up, but I believe they are expanding the service so more international banks will be able to be accessed with Billy.

I find Billy to meet all my needs and be a great accounting system for a small business
