I had fairly low expectations, a simple click and build type experience that while accessible and easy to use, it would ultimately prove to be quite limited. I was wrong.

Creating a relatively simple games are quick and easy.

Minimal experience and minimal skill. still able to make a fun, addicting game. I am not a coder. This software works great for me.

Obviously there are a number of limitations with an out of the box game creation software. This is the trade off for a game creator geared towards those who don't code.

No coding required. Having an idea or even an outline helps translate into an app using the modules provided by Stencyl. Its free as well. Very good for first-time game developers.

Processing of commands can be asynchronous i.e not in the order you specified. This can create some unwanted changes to game behaviour.

Very easy to learn but do not expect high-end features. Its good at simple features and functionalities.

Quick and effective app development

I love how simple and understandable Stencyl is. This program is very simple to learn and allows for quick game productions. I also love how many platforms Stencyl can be used on. There is also so much potential for Stencyl to grow and expand.

Stencyl is limited at this time. You can create fun, simple games with it, however, you won't be building detailed 3D models with it. It has a lot of room for growth, so I think that it's possible that someday you will be able to create more complex games.

This program is super simple and really useful when designing quick games, trying out new ideas, and creating sample projects. I definitely recommend!

Stencyl gives me a great way to create quick and simple games and ideas for my clients. I can play around with different ideas using Stencyl and also create sample games to show clients.

Stencil is a drag and drop game maker. This came in handy for a person like me who knows a little coding but not enough to create a game on my own. With Stencyl, it made it possible. The U.I. is pretty much self-explanatory whereas you pretty much connect your actors (objects) to behaviors. I will be using this program again soon starting my second game using Stencyl.

It is free to publish your game to the web as in just being a windows game, but f you want to publish it to android, like I do, it will cost you $200.

Basically not needing to hire a programmer to develop the games for me. Since it is drag and drop, I am able to do it myself with less time and money.

Stencyl is a very easy to use software product for making flash games for ios and android platforms. The product is very easy and convenient to use and is affordable too.

There is nothing as such that I dislike about this. Having few more features will be a boon.
