Our team loves the video interviews! The videos allow the managers to view them at their leisure. Since the managers are not rushed, they have more time to get a feel for the candidates.
It would be beneficial for SparkHire to integrate with our UKG/Ultipro System to make it easier to go into one system instead of multiple systems. It would be nice to be able to pull excel reports too!
The videos allow the managers to view them at their leisure. Since the managers are not rushed, they have more time to get a feel for the candidates. It makes the hiring process faster.
It's so simple for everyone to use. From the candidate, hiring manager and the HR team. It's very user friendly and provides a great experience for all.
Nothing. It's a great product that is easy to use.
Time. It makes it easier on HR for when we have many applicants. It is also great for the applicant to be able to record the video when they are free and not within our work day.
I like how convenient it is for people looking for a job, specially applying for a work-from-home position. It allows people to save time commuting to the interviewer's office.
Although it is mentioned on the tutorial it is possible to skip questions, it does not show that option on all questions.
I was able to have a job interview with an out of state employer, it was super convenient and allowed me to communicate with them in a timely manner. Also I was able to take the interview on my own schedule.
Spark Hire is a fundamental part of our hiring process. We receive 100+ applicants per job listing, so Spark Hire's one-way video interviews allow us to screen out quality candidates who would not be a good fit for our company's culture and values (without spending valuable time one-on-one with each candidate).
I also appreciate Spark Hire's simple user interface. It's easy to use on both front and back ends, and takes minimal time to learn. We also require candidates to have beginner-level computer skills at minimum, and find the candidate side of Spark Hire to be a good test of competency in this area. Candidates who struggle to follow a web link and complete ten 1-minute video questionnaires would likely struggle with our day-to-day workflows as well.
There are not any aspects of Spark Hire that I dislike. We've experienced minor technical difficulties from time to time, but Spark Hire's team is very responsive and gets us back up and running right away.
Spark Hire solves the problem of needing to screen many candidates without having the time to meet with every qualified candidate one-on-one. Our company does not have a dedicated recruiter, so those of us involved in screening and hiring candidates have very few hours to dedicate to the task. I feel strongly that we could not do so efficiently without Spark Hire.
As a recruitment consultant, I'm always on the lookout for tools that can optimize and improve our hiring process. Sparkhire has proven to be an exceptional platform in this regard. One of its standout features, which I appreciate most, is the Google Chrome extension. This extension has facilitated a seamless integration alongside our ATS system, making the entire recruitment process smoother and more efficient.
The platform itself is user-friendly and has significantly streamlined our recruitment timeframe. An added benefit is the noticeable enhancement in the quality of candidates we now hire.
Overall, Sparkhire is a time-saving and innovative platform that has brought a refreshing change to the recruitment landscape. I highly recommend it to fellow professionals in the recruitment field.
However, for the sake of improvement and reaching a global audience, my constructive feedback for Sparkhire would be to consider making the platform available in a wider array of languages.
"Bridging Time Zones and Assessing Skills: Sparkhire's Multifaceted Solution"
In today's globalized world, organizing interviews across various time zones can present a significant challenge. Sparkhire has emerged as a vital solution to this problem for us. Its robust platform ensures that scheduling interviews across different regions becomes a hassle-free task, eliminating the usual logistical nightmares associated with international recruitment.
Beyond this, Sparkhire provides invaluable tools for skill assessment. By requiring candidates to complete the video interview, we're able to gauge their IT proficiency in real-time, ensuring that they are tech-savvy and can adapt to modern work environments. Additionally, the platform offers a genuine and immediate test of candidates' language abilities. This feature is particularly beneficial for roles where language proficiency is critical, ensuring that we're making informed decisions based on accurate assessments.
In essence, Sparkhire isn't just a recruitment tool; it's a multifaceted solution addressing the complexities of modern-day hiring. We're better equipped to select top-tier talent thanks to its innovative features.
Spark Hire allows us to have candidates record their answers to some recorced questions of our choosing. It allows us to create a video talking about our company and promoting what we do first. Being able to hear responses and see how candidates react to questions is extremely helpful in the hiring process. It also allows the candidate to record on their own time. You also have the ability to sue for live video interviewing and have questions right within the interview so you can record, flag and watch all answers back after if you need to re-look at anything.
The live video interviewing does not integrate with our ATS we had hope however the one-way videos do.
Spark is allowing us to collect responses from candidates while we work throuhg application flow. It helps get candidates through the pipeline faster while allowing you to focus on the candidates that are best suited for your position.
I love how easy it is to screen candidates using video interviews. It's so user friendly on the candidate's end and it really weeds out candidates who are not profecient computer users.
Downside is there is a lot of set up to get it where you want it. It can be tricky making sure that each interview type has the right set of questions attached to it. I wish that process was more user friendly for me.
I'm the only person who hires for a company with about 350 positions so this has been such a great tool to save me enourmous amounts of time. It really has replaced the work of another full time HR recruiter!
Its easy to use, and we can share the interviews we like best, internally.
I would like it if there were a place to move interviews into an archive for ppl actually hired.
Saves lots of time for repeatedly need to ask interviewees the same questions over and over
Ease of use is great, haven't had any complaints from users - great way to speed up the recruitment process
Nothing really, although ideally I wish that notification emails would come with shareable links included - having to generate them seems like one more unnecessary step
Allows us to open up recruitment processes to a much broader pool of cnadidates and ensure we give more applicants the opportunity to throw their hat in the ring.

We use Spark Hire to handle the first step for high volume seasonal hiring. It's a very easy to use tool. We love the Google Chrome extension which makes sending out one-way interview requests incredibly fast and straight-forward. We add intro and outro videos to make interviews more personalized and provide our candidates with a user guide for the process that links to many of the Spark Hire candidate resources. It doesn't currently integrate with our ATS of choice (Ashby) but the chrome extension does the trick.
We have recently adapted the reference request tool, and there's still a lot of kinks to work out. You can't cancel a reference request if someone backs out of the interview process and if a candidate's references don't respond to the survey, you have to re-request the candidate for their references information to send another survey.
We handle high volume, seasonal hiring which means that we get a LOT of candidates for our roles who wouldn't otherwise reall care about our company. By having a one-way interview as a first step, we 1) can weed out anyone who isn't actually committed/interested in working with us, 2) get to know a bit more about the candidate before diving into an interview, and 3) get enough information from the interview to be able to offer a role at the end of the virtual interview if the person is a good fit! This has helped up cut way down on the amount of interview no-shows, reduces post-interview back and forth for offers, and we're still able to create a personalized experience for candidates with videos.
