I'm a user since 2017. I like it a lot, especially the fact that it has a friendly user interface and simple and easy to be used makes it an excellent tool for daily usage

the software is cheap compared to others, and it's possible to have it integrated with other Softwares

compatible with most used OS including OS, Linux, and windows

it doesn't require any training as any beginner, intermediate, or even advanced computer users can find their way to use it

Familiarity, cross-device, feature-rich.

Doesn't easily sync with cloud storage. Not much else given the price.

This office suite allows you to insert more than 80 varieties of charts. it uses for text maker, plan maker,presentation and comparison. It also allows us to create calculation, chart.

I found updates are buggy, and sometimes it takes too long to load

The removal of the tweaked Thunderbird client means having to use either the default one for an OS or to install manually, in on an enterprise environment this can take additional time.

Deployment and support are not available for cloud and web-based. Also, it does not support iPhones and Ipad. Training for larger audiences is only via documentation, and no videos and webinars are available.

It supports collaboration tools, document geneartion, presentation tools, and office suite, which is a must for any individual or small or large organization.

SoftMaker Office is a cheap alternative to Microsoft Office. It almost offers all the features which are provided by MS office. SoftMaker office provides almost all the capabilities which are offered by MS office. It has a user friendly interface and easy to use. It also offers free office to use which is basic version. Performance wise, its really good. Does not hang or crashes.

If we work on huge documents, sometimes performance is not satisfactory.

I would recommend SoftMaker office to the people who are looking for cheap alternative of MS office.

Softmaker provides a very powerful tool, and we can say this is the best alternative of Microsoft and any other office tools. SoftMaker we can buy at very low cost.

The free features are plentiful and useful. Has almost all of the functionaly you can as for that is very similar to the microsoft office suite of products. Easy to use UI with minimal to no learning curve. Everything is where you would expect it to be and nothing you dont . Most if not all suite of applications match their office counter parts in terms of functionality and features. In addition to this some of the UI is easier to use in softmaker as compared to your traditional office suite.

Some formatting issues when sending documents to users who use google docs and or Microsoft word. Saving in different file types can cause various little formatting issues. It is not so easy to adjust when sending via email or uploading to the cloud for another user to get. They are usually having to readjust or let you know that something does not look right when they open the file on their end. Usually it is just a formatting issue but still inconvient. Even after unsubscribing from their marketing emails it still keeps coming to my inbox. So much so to the point that I had to flag and have it sent to the trash directly which is a bit cumbersome and inconvienent if you unsubscribe it should mean it.

If you just need a quick fix for your organization with office like functionality without the cost this will work especially if you do not have many external facing clients or need to send out external communications. If you do anticipate or interact with other individuals outside of your organization, who are not using softmaker you may run into some formatting issues.

Cost-effective option for a smaller company that does not have the resources to invest in a full suite of office 365 applications. It gets the job done for now. Especially if you just need a quick solution with little to no cost.

SoftMaker Office has a free version that is fully functional for basic users and serves the vast majority of users. The application has good performance and is not intrusive offering you the premium version. In case you need to have access to VBA macro functions, the paid version has a good cost benefit in relation to the main competitor and market leader. In addition, the UI is similar to Microsoft Office, which makes it easier for users to adapt.

I am not a regular VBA user, but I feel that basic functions could be available from the basic version to automate repetitive tasks. However, the softmaker even in the most basic version meets the needs of the vast majority of users.

The Softmaker office suite is great for less powerful computers as it lacks common features in competitors that use a lot of hardware resources or even require a quality internet connection. There is a free version with which you can test the product this way so you can know whether or not it will adapt to the software in this package.

The applications are not functionally better than the main competitor, but the cost-benefit is better and the performance is higher when you don't have good hardware.
