Professional company - unlike others
I never write reviews but my experience with socialcaptain so far was way beyond my expectations. Out of all the instagram growth platforms I've tried so far (probably all haha), SC generates the best results by far.

Angely (from support) told me about the issue they have with competitors writing negative reviews on fake websites. That's also why I'm writing this review – I feel bad for them having to deal with shady competitors like SocialSteeze and their fake blogs.

As a happy SocialCaptain user I can assure you their service is incomparable to any other. Their UI and ease of use were worth switching all my accounts to them. Big up guys!

I tested the free version and the…
I tested the free version and the automation helps me to follow people, and i've gained some followers through the hashtag targeting and commenting. IN 24 hours I gain close to 80 followers as I feel is very good compared to my organic post and engagement for the past 6 months.
The slow growth is great as instagram couldnt detect the bot. Almost wanted to renew for a month but checked here the reviews wasnt that great.

Live chat wasnt active, and i realized they replied through email. Can be improve. Overall if they can improve the backend, ill really use your service.

Paying for no service!
I started using social captain on the 8th May 2019 and the growth pattern looked great however instagram told me to change my password three times from the 28th - 30th May and it now appears my account has stalled. I have not changed any settings and therefore do not believe I have done anything wrong however I have tried using live chat to get support and nobody replies. I am contemplating cancelling my subscription as I do believe in good customer service which I am not getting. Shame as I thought from the start the service was great and now I’m paying for what appears to be nothing!

Guard you Credit Card details from Social Captain - Until they have a way to remove it
So i'm writing this review to WARN anyone who wants to use Social captain.

1. Their services work as advertised for about two months
2. on the third month i noticed the service dropped from about 500 new followers a month to about 100
3. I complained about this and i was told it's probably my account settings and that i need to review my settings. the same settings i had in the begining that gave me up to 500 new users/month
4. So due to no. 3 above i requested that my account be canceled and i got a message to go to my billing profile and cancel it from there which i did but was only presented with an option to pause/suspend the account. I suspended the account after being charged $39. came back about a month later to resume the account. Clicked on the resume button and nothing worked. All of a sudden i was charged $39 AGAIN!!! After clicking the resume button and my account wasnt running. I reported this and nothing was done
5. I complained and got a generic message that they would frward it to the billing team of which i didnt get any feedback at all. Up till this day

So what am i warning you about? Your Credit Card detail.

1. Social Captain does not give you anyway to cancel your subscription. Although you have the option to do that on their website, be warned it does not work. no matter what you do it'll say your account has been suspended but it never cancels your subscription

2. there's nowhere to remove your card detail from the site. Absolutely nowhere to remove your card details and when you cancel your subscription or try to end you account your card detail stays on their system and you keep getting charged.

3. There's no actual way of cancelling your account or removing your account from the platfrom

4. if you report this to their live chat plats form you get the same message everytime "I'm so sorry about this. I've reached out to our billing team to assist you with this matter. Once it's been taken care of, a billing expert will reach out to confirm.
In the meantime, please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with! :)"... but they never get back to you and nothing is done about your issue

5. I had to go back to my bank to disable my card to have it not work on the platform. i also had to change my instagram account password so they do not have anyway to access my account.

6. Up till now, i have no way of removing my account from the platform. my money has not been refunded and i have no way to get out of the platform

Be warned, i would not take time out to write something that isn't true, or write it out of spite for the company, i'm just telling you what you'd go through if you choose to put your card detail on Social Captain.

A word to the Social Captain team. It would only do you and your business a lot of good to be transparent and give users the tool and option to pull out when they want to. Your website is shady. you keep users card details and keep charging them and give them no easy way to remove their cards. Users have to go to their bank to disable their cards.

Be transparent in your dealings and be fair.

You business would go down sooner than later if you continue with your current practices.

So someone from social captain just responded to my review and just like they act on their website support, no question was asked why all this happened, how to help me resolve it. Just some generic corporate response to save themselves from the truth i've told.

You have been warned these guys know what they're doing. They know that you cant cancel your account, they do no let you do that.

The guy also said i was the one who resumed my account. Sorry. I click on the resume button multiple times and my account did not resume. there was some loading it says your subscription has been resumed. but going to the dashboard, nothing worked. After emails to Social Captain and chat with the LiveHelp, there was nothing working.

Why would i spend my time to come over here and type all of this if your service wasn't shady?

YOU, Social Captain have deliberately made it impossible for people to leave your platform on their own terms.

Instead of you to reach out to me and figure out how i can get value for the $78 you have charged me.

$78 Dollars is two months subscription that i am unbale to use because my account CANNOT BE RESUMED. I have sent you messages on this but there is nothing coming from you.

EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM THE PLATFORM FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.

THESE GUYS DONT SEEM READY TO HELP OUT.

Why wouldn't you just check your records and reactivate my account so my $78 that i have not used because your platform wont resume my account isn't wasted.

beware of being shadowbanned
I never write reviews but I had to for this. I’m giving a 3 star review because the two weeks I had this service, I gained almost 300 organic followers that fell into the same category as myself. However as a result, this bot got my account shadow banned. This means that the hashtags i was using, were not showing up on the feed, therefore seriously hurting my engagement/ growth. Kinda the opposite of what I was going for.. also they tell you this app is completely compliant with Instagram’s rules, but this is a bot and if you check ig’s terms of service, bots are definitely a red flag. Just happy I canceled before I got banned banned.
