Social Animal helps me use data in order to make informed, thoughtful decisions about our content strategy. I love that I can research the best content topics for our niche, as well as find the topics that are most discussed online and shared on social channels. Armed with this knowledge, I don't have to make random guesses as to what people will respond best to. There is also a nice influencer search functionality which I plan to utilize a lot this year.
Can't think of anything to dislike at the moment. The tool is doing everything I want and more.
See if it works for you. Unlike others in the space, Social Animal offers a free trial with lots of functionality so that you can see if it will work for you right away.
In addition to article topic ideas, it also gives me ideas around which freelance writers are generating the most buzz in our space so that I can reach out to them with work. Normally this would take a lot of time for me to determine if someone's writing is generally well-received, and with this tool, I no longer have to do manual research or guesswork. This means that the freelance writers I hire have a better guarantee of ROI for me.
This is so far the best Social Listening Tool i have explored. It really helped me to search for relevant articles while using keywords through the free trial they give you. I am also very impressed with the excellent and helpful service they offer you from the agents !
Keep It up !
There is no such thing of disliking this product, however, i do believe that the platform can offer lots of other functions as well such as for instance a much more detailed filter for ease of search.
I was mainly using Social Animal on a trial basis for searching for relevant articles using a keywords. I could easily find the relevant articles and i am also exploring the Social Listening App of options for reporting.
I liked the ease of use of the interface. You can search for posts by keyword, or even put the name of the website or person you wish to search. You can even search by date, putting the most recent ones first or the posts with the most engagement first. You also have the option of saving search terms and not having to type them into the interface every time you log on. I also liked the free trial they give you. It allows you to decide whether this is the application for your business.
There is a learning curve but that is solved by using it regularly. The free trial is both a blessing and a curse. When I used it I realized just how useful it was, helping me keep on top of trends. However, as a fledgling entrepreneur, I don't have the funds yet to justify the regular outlay. So I do wish it was a little cheaper for single business owners like myself who have virtually no funds but a lot of time. Maybe they should have a lite version.
I will definitely pay for it once I start making money.
Use the trial and decide for yourself. Make sure you have a strategy in place before you start using this, otherwise you'll become sidetracked with all the options. And do ask questions. I found the support to be very good.
It helps me come up with ideas for blog posts, and helps me look at which subjects engage people the most. It also helps me find influencers. Using the influencers function you can type a keyword and see Twitter profiles with those keywords, arranging by number of followers and other criteria. I found a number of fellow sci-fi authors who I otherwise would not have found.
Social Animal has shown me what engages online, i.e. what articles people share. By studying these I hope to write articles that hopefully have similar engagement. In short, it took the guesswork out of article writing and gave me ideas.
The one thing that makes me more relaxed using it is that the tool works well and the support team is very efficient and responsive and has always replied to my out-delivering requirements. The team support was still there to support me anytime I found any trouble doing or using some functionality or needed some information.
The big downside I've found so far is that it doesn't reveal who created the engaging content for a certain post, except for Twitter. It only indicates the number of shares. If it could do that, it would have been perfect because it would help you achieve success for individuals who posted a comparable post and invite them to share yours.
Overall, Social Animal is a very powerful network that offers an instant analysis of the material that is growing and reaching viewers in our company's important sectors. It's one of the networks I use regularly. I have relied almost exclusively on it a lot and I am delighted with the performance.
Great user interface and ease of use. Highly impressive search results in terms of quality and speed. Excellent ease of use.
None really, except for PDF reporting capability/feature.
One thing that currently sets Social Animal apart from peer apps is - dedicated Facebook search results.
Content search and marketing.
I particularly like there was SocialAnimal extracts the market data from social media channels. An organisation can get real time information about how it's marketing campaigns are performing in comparison with competitors.
Getting the right analytics from social media channels can be tricky. We can rely on the numbers, but can't actually validate the insights based on any realistic parameters.
The user interface needs a bit of polishing to make it easier to navigate.
If you are looking for an all in one solution to gain visibility into the performance of your digital media initiatives, there is no better alternative than Social Animal.
We have used the platform to gauge the effectiveness of various promotional campaigns and live telecasts that we run from time to time. It has provided to be an invaluable tool to understand how our marketing teams are performing.

this is a great platform that can save you a lot of time. we used social animal mainly for content research and outreach purposes and so far its going great. when youre getting started with social animal you get the chance to select the keyword you want to target and more information based on it, you can also create campaigns with a group of keywords too. the application will gather relevant content about the keyword from the web and present it to you. you can get deatiled information about the articles collected like the author, date of publishing, social media shares and more. there is a lot of filter options available too for the ease of pinpointing the content youre looking for. for outreach its very easy, when we try to outreach social animal gives you detailed information on top writers and give examples of their content, this is one of those tools that can save you a lot of time cause everyone into marketing knows how hard in manual outreach and literally this one saved hours for me.
sometimes you get content totally irrelevant to your keyword and it must be fixed. the pricing isn't cheap.
well good news lads, you have the option to select the free trial from social animal to try their services so go for it.
social animal is a content research platform that lets you gather content from the web and contact influences.
The greatest experience I have had is that it makes it easier to discover brilliant concepts for material or content to either move on to our reader audience or use as concepts for the creation of original content. To see what perspective or content style fits best to improve interaction, you can quickly evaluate content.
One thing that made me feel uncomfortable while learning the software is that the learning curve is too steeper and that may be because it has too many features to offer and does so much. The newcomers may find it a bit difficult for using and working with it.
My overall interaction with social animals has been great actually. I never felt the need to find another approach for which Social Animal was always contrasted. Nevertheless, I'm glad that there is a program that allows me to have the potential to produce quality content at a lower cost.

We do a lot of research for our content marketing service. Social Animal makes it easy for us to find the data we need and use it competitively. We also use it to find influencers. We are happy with the results.
There's no way to reach out to influencers via the tool. It would be nice to be able to do everything from the tool. Hopefully, this feature is coming soon.
We use Social Animal as a Buzzsumo replacement. It's very good at competitive research and finding influencers. It has helped us find the best data for our content marketing service.
