I work integrating to and from Dynamics GP. SmartConnect is very user friendly. You can take data from virtually any place and map it to any place. There are endless possibilities. Their customer support is absolutely the best.

The initial login takes a bit of time, but I don't ever have performance issues.

No complaints so far. I think there are ways to connect any data source, though I'm sure some might take more work than others to set up depending on how obscure, but that is to be expected.

Typically, we'll recommend it to users/clients to preserve and easily view data from before their upgrade to Business Central Cloud. SmartConnect is what it says it is.

It is easy enough for an end-user to create an integration, but has the capabilities to write much more complex integrations.

The restrictions placed on the number of connections which can be utilized in the new version can be challenging.

Running unattended integrations once, or through a time span, makes our clients much more efficient.

I use the software almost every day and it is being used every day via the scheduling feature even if I do not need to log in. It's fairly easy to install and very easy to upgrade. The user interace is very intuitive and they offer a tremendous number of endpoints to integrate to/from. Also, their tech support is very good. I only contact them when I've tried everything I know to try. They are thoughtful, thorough and timely in their responses.

The way me and my customers use SmartConnect, there are really just things I'd like to see improved. One would be the length of time integration logs are maintained. It's not bad, but I'd like to see at least 90 days. Also, the Global Variables concept is very clever, however there could be more documentation on how best to leverage this feature. Lastly, the web site is so-so. It used to be much more intuitive to me but an overhaul in 2023 or 2024 made it a bit more confusing to search their knowledgebase specifically.

It enables my customers to send and receive data to/from a lot of different systems. Because it works so well, I look better in my customer's eyes since their business systems are flowing smoothly.

The out-of-the-box GP mappings are great and inclusive of types of transactions that need to be implemented.
