Smartcare team does its best to make sure your start-up is smooth, however, with any transition, there can be some feeling of being overwhelmed.
I am fine with how the product works however you can tell it takes our feedback and updates the system to help make it more convenient for its user. There is always available training.

It eliminates the hassle of chasing the families down for payments. They know there balance at all times. That makes it discreet and easy for the parents to take care of business.
I like that I was able to see updates about my child's care at daycare. It made it easy to make payments to the facility in one place.
The app did not provide push notifications, so we had to install a separate app that was connected in order to get notifications.
I liked that I could see all of the daily updates. Diaper changes, meals, naps, etc.
Easy for parents to register. Simple to process payments. All the info we need in one place.
The ledger isn't very flexible. I would say the parent/ child's billing ledger is the "clunkiest" part of the program.
Automatic billing and payment processing is a huge time saver.
Ease of parent usage, ease of data entry, staff in-service training hours tracked under the notes section, quick glance to know head count at time of lunch, and the customizable reports!!! And can export any report in a variety of formats!
Minor but the CACFP report lists free, paid, reduced. The actual CACFP report lists free, reduced then paid for meal count summary. Our program has "summer only" children which I archived last August. I have several of them returning for this summer and I have no way to know what group they were in last year when I change their enrollment status back to "enrolled." Overall, no deal breakers, just little recommendations.
Talk to Smartcare (demo) AND talk to someone using the system. It is amazing!!! If your program needs something specific, ask Smartcare... they probably have it!
Our program is saving time and money with Smartcare. I can run reports for about anything I need. It may take me a phone call to their customer service to find the report but they are ALWAYS helpful and try to figure out workarounds if my exact request isn't available. I am learning how to use waitlists and projected enrollments. To have everything in one program is the best benefit ever. No more cross-matching!
We love the credibility that it gives us as parents and fcailitators. It is very accurate and an amazing platform!
