It is helpful with schedule planning on the fly.
it's good I can have it on my laptop and phone.
shift updates are instant; staff can see changes immediately and they can request time off via the app.
I love the format and easy-to-use style.
I am on the free version and I must confess this is better than some paid versions of similar apps.
I don't think I dislike anything about this app; If anything I dislike (my company) not being able to afford the Pro version because I am sure there are many more helpful features on Sling.
Scheduling issues
communication issues; staff have no excuse to say they forgot due to the shift reminders via the app.
it is easier to make schedules and update them after they have been published: staff are alerted of changes instantly.
Being able to create repeating shifts, to be able to visualize what any given should look like, saves a lot of time and energy when planning a shift schedule. It gives a great overview of your business. I have never had to explain the software to my employees, as it is very intuitive. When we have hired new staff, we simply add them into Sling, and their shifts show up on their smartphone apps. I love to be able to keep an overview of all my currently active employees, as well as keep a log of former employees through the deactivated accounts. I feel you get extremely much functionality out of the free version of the software. I highly enjoy being able to see the schedule through different filters, or views. For example viewing only a certain group of employees (part-time employees for example), and seeing each day isolated, so I can get an overview of exactly which person is at work during which time of the day.
Every now and then there are some minor hiccups or bugs. But nothing serious has been wrong. Some actions require relatively many clicks to accomplish. I do feel the software is quite "intelligent" in guessing, what kind of action you want to make.
I enjoy being able to schedule shifts from a centralised place, where my employees can enter their unavailable times beforehand, so the schedules can be made to fit all of my employees.
The ease of adding unavailability and of changing shifts
Need to use a different app for payments and clock in/out
Easy scheduling app for job
When I come across scenarios of needing a certain feature I've never used before- it has already been thought of and is available.
A better way to add "notes". I like the current feature, but it would be nice to the option to have a block appearance that Looks like scheduled shifts/employees
no idea
Simple to learn and manage, Sling is quickly adopted by our entire team, leading to informed and empowered crew members. It is excellent for team messaging, individual messaging, keeping employees in the loop via "News feed", tracking PTO/requests, and detailed labor $ tracking
We have tried numerous scheduling tools. Sling has out performed our expectations and is used daily by all members of our team. It is our core communication tool and is enjoyed by all team members.
Informed and empowered team members. Push and SMS notifications in advance of shifts ensure team members are well-aware of their expected arrival times. No outside tools needed for systemwide, group, or individual team messaging. Google Cal. integration. Excellent PTO and labor cost tracking capabilities.
Easy to use, our employees find it very intuitive.
We use Sling for basic scheduling and haven't graduated to more of its features. Nothing we don't like.
As a start-up company, having access to basic scheduling is a tremendous help.
Employees love the ease of requesting shift swaps and time offs.
Unavailability only in paid version of the software.
Makes scheduling easy to manage. Less interaction with employees.
Easy to create shifts, user friendly and great to message employees individually or by group.
It would be great if you could designate tasks to employees when you are creating their shifts so they get a list of tasks to complete.
Allows everyone to see their shifts
I love how simple and straight to the point it is. I also love that the app is user-friendly! We use all of the features available and just upgraded to the premium account!
One small detail we have noticed is that is it a little bit confusing to find the spot to request time off on the app but once you know where it is its not that bad. Wish it was more of a upfront button!
It helps us keep track of our employees and get into contact with them quickly and efficiantly. It also gives up the opportunity to speak with our whole team at one time!
