PROS: When it comes to inventory management, we were looking for a solution that offered the flexibility we needed. Skubana provided that for us and more. It is a web-based solution which means we can manage inventory regardless of where we are. Since we started using it, we are happy in terms of how we carry out our business operations. We do not have to worry about accessing the tool as it is not a software which is installed in a single computer in the office. The web-based platform gives us more exposure and flexibility for our inventory operations which is a plus.
CONS: It is a long road, but Skubana has made it even shorter. However, there are few bugs that need fixing despite it being a reliable tool in inventory management. There are features which are missing and it has a few glitches that can slow down how well we make the best use of the product. Luckily, they have a great and responsive customer support which takes care of all the queries of its users. We have had some issues fixed while others we were given assurance that they are in the process of fixing them in future. They are also strict in terms of how we use the product in managing inventory. It does not allow one to send an order to a customer if your inventory level is 0. This is however a good thing as we do not want to send an order and then there is nothing for the customer to receive as we have run out of stock.
PROS: The dashboard creates a quick access to what you want. For example, you will be able to view your inventory and the needs associated so that you can know where to emphasize based on those needs. It is an integrated product that has all the solutions in one place. All inventories can be monitored in one place which gives you the power to know what you have in real time. It makes our work easier as it improves the visibility of stock movement by prioritizing on areas that need our emphasis and utilizing the resources we have in the best way possible.
CONS: There is always a problem with every software application. For the Skubana, it is no different but theirs is minor. If you want to get the best out of a product, then you have to go for that which has great customer support. Although we found the product to be complex at the start, we were able to find our way around thanks to the great customer support. Through the updates and training from their staff, who have a better understanding on the product, we were able to get ahead of things within a short period.
PROS: From training to when you get to know what the product offers, the process is smooth. We are able to lunch the product at no fee which is not common for most similar tools. The customer support has become helpful. Instead of dealing with an automated system that aids you on how to use the tool, they have a real human account manager to take you through what you need to know. You can actually ask a question and get a valid response that will help you discover what the tool has to offer. It also gives us room to grow which is a plus on our part.
CONS: Although the reporting feature is powerful, it is not highly customized. We deal with medical services and in that case, we are required to generate specific reports based on our products and services. With Skubana, we are not able to customize those reports to meet all our needs in full. It would be better if the developers of this product would customize the reporting functionality to offer us that better platform of generating unique reports. The learning curve was also there at first but with the help of their technical team, we found a way to beat that.
PROS: It can be difficult to keep track of what you have in the store. Since we first receive payment from customers before they can receive what they paid for, it is important that we do not oversell our products. It can be embarrassing or even hurt the business when a customer has already paid for a particular item but you have oversold it and they cannot get what they paid for. Skubana has come in place to help us solve this dilemma. We can now know what is in the stock as the product offers reliable reports on inventory to give us an accurate figure when a customer order for an item.
CONS: In terms of functionality, we do not have a problem with this tool. However, it is complex and that makes it difficult for us to understand how it works. Luckily, the customer support is highly responsive and helpful to guide us all along. It is a powerful tool and thus you should expect to find such complexities. Despite this, it offers reliable features that help us to automate multiple tasks and thus stay ahead in more than one ways.
PROS: You always start somewhere and not so lucky for us, we did not start with Skubana. We tried out Stitch Labs and other inventory related tools in the market before different reputable online stores directed our attention to Skubana. Just like any normal business, we were reluctant at first but later made the bold move to try it out. It turned out to be a miracle on our part. Within the first week, we had fallen in love with the product and we were good to go. After a month, we were able to utilize the product in full such that we even dropped ShipStation which served as our shipping tool. The customer support staff is also helpful and offers the best assistance for all our needs.
CONS: The product is all great and powerful for any business dealing with inventory management. For your business you will be able to create orders and know how much inventory you have in real time. However, the interface looks out of date. It is not as better looking as it should be. When you compare with Stitch Labs, the latter is much better looking. However, you have to try the product out before you can judge it based on the outward appearance. Once you do this, how the interface looks becomes a thing of the past.
Great product and the client service reps were fantastic - super communicative, knowledgeable and proactive.
Some aspects of the product are difficult to understand without requesting help/explanation from the client services team.
Keeping track and processing orders, inventory and revenue
The platform has allowed our organization to aggregate all moving pieces of operations, while providing advanced order and inventory management throughout. Their recent addition of a Quickbooks Online connector allows for seamless accounting integration to keep our business flowing. The implementation and support teams are fantastic and very hands on, often finding quick solutions to not-so-obvious requests.
- There is currently no Returns/Refunds or RMA automation. I'm hoping this gets built in, especially to Shopify, very soon, as short of this we need to account for all activities manually
- Not a wide variety of integrations options, so some connections require custom builds
Both of the above are presented as such upon initial sales calls and workable, however it would great to see more plugins all round.
Operational automation, efficiency, and processes. Simply by using Skubana I don't need to hire an additional team member to handle the work the platform takes care of. Great ROI and keeping all information in one place is very powerful. There is no need to pursue an ERP
We are a high volume e-commerce company selling across many sales channels for 10 years now.
During those years we have tried many different platforms and none of them really worked out for us, they all always did some things right and many things wrong.
Skubana was our last try before trying to build our own platform (which could be costly and come with a lot of headaches).
Fortunately for us and kind of surprisingly, Skubana turned out to fill 99% of our needs.
They have direct integrations with all the majors sales channels and other e-commerce tools/softwares and they also have indirect (via third party) integrations with the rest of the lesser known tools and software one may need to run their ecom business.
They priced out much better than the previous platforms we used in the past and they offer support via chat at all times on top of having your account manager to help you out.
I do not usually write reviews, but felt the need to do so in this case with the hope it will help others that find themselves in the same situation i was in.
Just a better native label creation process, but until then they do connect to other platforms that can handle that process.
I am glad we gave Skubana a shot it helped us automate more of our business, saved us a considerable amount of $$ on payroll and overall just helped us grow our business over the last year plus we have been using them.
As Skubana's second customer I've certainly seen Skubana through many evolutions - and there's no doubt business has significantly improved because of it. This is a great program to grow with since it's built for expansion.
The inventory tracking is airtight, and now that they've built a QBO connector, you have accounting natively integrated. Plus there are tons of integrations available so you can essentially plug and play.
Excellent support team, having the chat function in the dashboard is super helpful. And the CEO is great!
