Simple note taking app, if you are a student or working, this is best for daily notes

I like that it uses Markdown, which is more convenient than Rich Text for me as a developer.

The interface for desktop and mobile is very minimalist and focused.

I can easily hide the sidebars to create a very focused writing environment. The whole experience is clean, intuitive, and minimalist.

I also like that it's an open-source project managed by the team behind Wordpress.

It's not something I dislike, per se, but the only way to organize things is by tagging them. There is no hierarchical organization, or archiving of notes. I use this constraint to review and clean up my notes, so it's more of a feature for me, but know that if you want to store notes long-term you will need to copy them elsewhere. This is more of a daily driver.

I need a super lightweight app that I can scratchpad on throughout my day, including in meetings.

I didn't really find any problem in this application, it meets what I needed and is perfect for the type of company I manage, works well and is not at all difficult to use.

it has a very clean interface. It has great security so you can feel safe in that your notes are being protected. It syncs flawlessly between your devices. And it has a really easy to use organization tool for however you want to keep your notes in order.

It may just be me but the startup for the app can sometimes be a bit slow. And when the times comes for updates...I get how important those updates are. but man they really let you know you need to update lol.

If you want something simple easy to use syncs up across all devices and does just what it says. Then this Simplenote is for you. It has a basic but clear interface. Great organization options. no flashy over the top options. Just a great simple note taking program you can use for any purpose. And for keeping everyone on the same page. .... In a way it works like a social media page. Anyone connected through it can keep others updated on what is going on.

making sure we are all on the same page. if one of use talks to a customer and confirms something we can all see it being updated through the notes. Also on a personal level i can create all sorts of notes with list on them from groceries to todo list and my wife and I will be on the same level with everything we need and what needs to be done.
