We love SilkStart! After a very painful implementation period with an alternative AMS provider, we made the difficult decision to shift course. And we could not be more satisfied. We were drawn to SilkStart in the first place because we sought a solution that was well-designed, modern, and easy to use. We found precisely what we were looking for. The User and Admin experiences are both simple and intuitive, with all of the necessary features. But the customer support has been the greatest differentiator of all!
We love that we have control over all aspects of the website design and navigation. It would be helpful to have a more comprehensive discussion or forums feature.
SilkStart has greatly improved our member experience. Members have commented on the improved website design and navigation and spend more time on the website, browsing our Events, Archives, Tools, and Groups. As an Admin, we have more reports available at our fingertips regarding who is engaged and who is inactive. We are excited to launch paid Event registration on our site as well for the very first time.

I'd like the website builder to be a bit more robust but it serves our needs fine
We spent a large amount of time & money on membership and event management with poor results. Silkstart has helped us tighten up the back-end of our club, provided transparency we didn't have before, and give members an easier way to sign up and pay for event tickets.
Customer service is outstanding. Silkstart is not only quick to respond they are able to make almost anything happen in a very efficient manner.
Nothing to dislike. Silkstart is very open to suggestions and refinements.

We have solved membership management, invoicing, and communication. Ease of use and full integration have made our job easier.
The implementation process was straight forward and the support team was exceptional. We are a non profit organization run by volunteers that found ourselves in the position of having to take over membership from a paid management organization. SilkStart helped us get up and running within a very short period of time. Their support was second to none. The product itself has been perfect for our group. The administrative end is easier to use as well as the user experience. Our members have found it easy to log in and manage their profiles. From the administrative end, we appreciate all of the information and reports that have given us a good handle on our membership and provided insight on where to target for growth. They were also the only company that integrated their website with our current one. We had just done a major overhaul of our site and not having to start over from scratch was a big time saver.
I don't have anything that I dislike about SilkStart! If I had to pick one area for improvement it would be more control of the design/look of the SilkStart webpages. Changing information on those can be a little tricky, but again, SilkStart's support is exceptional and they have helped us get what we want in a short period of time.
Our membership was managed by a strategic management group that did not use any type of membership software. When our organization parted ways with this group we quickly realized that we needed a software solution. Having SilkStart has been essential in the revitalization of our organization and allowed us to interact with our members more effectively.

Using SilkStart has automated our Association processes in so many incredible ways! Being able to send/schedule emails, set up events, communicate with certain membership levels/groups, and clone everything for future use. It also has great reports to track membership and churn.
But the BEST thing about SilkStart is their customer service. Our onboarding specialist was FANTASTIC---competent, helpful, and went out of his way to make sure we all understood and built it the way we wanted it. Their ongoing customer service has been amazing too--super responsive, helpful, clear, and timely.
Wish there was a way to place members in a Group automatically based on a question in the registration process.
Used to use a university listserv - no functionality, cumbersome, people misused it. Now we have professionalized our Association's communications, and have certainly seen the benefits. We also have started having events that require membership and now that we have a centralized, online system to track and manage that, we have more than doubled our membership!
The customization features that we needed in order to meet the needs of the Family Navigator Network.
We did not encounter anything that we did not like.
Creating a membership based portal to access resources and information sharing to serve families. The confidentiality component of it is great.
I have enjoyed using SilkStart. The learning curve was not too steep since the system is so intuitive. I have enjoyed its CRM and creating events and newsletters in the system. We also enjoy great support whenever an issue arises. The dashboard has been a powerful tool for determining the general health of our chapter at a glance.
My challenges with SilkStart has been its inability to seamlessly speak to other systems. I have realized that as an example copying and pasting from a word document to the content creation section of SilkStart I needed to go through extra steps such as entering text in a dialogue box that would then transfer to my actual SilkStart screen.
I recommend companies to definitely give SilkStart a try.
