Shopperations is very user friendly and easy to navigate.
I wish I had been able to do more deep dives for my clients and really learn/master Shopperations
We were able to quickly and easily make any changes to shopper marketing programs
The reporting is great. I use this for my status meetings with my teams.
I also love having one place for inputs and not multiple trackers
The system has come a long way over the years but it still have some opportunities for improvement however when I do call out an improvement Olga and her team is always on top of it and makes the changes if they are good for the overall system.
Financial questions, reporting, having all of my SM programs in one place

Financial questions, reporting, having all of my SM programs in one place
Over 10+ years in Shopper Marketing, I had to rely on developing and managing massive manual trackers to accommodate for monthly/quarterly/annual reviews with marketing, accounting, finance and sales. This tool allows me to aggregate all the same information, provide ongoing visibility to all key stakeholders and pull necessary reporting from one single source in a more efficient manner.
Given that it is a planning and financial tracking tool, it should allow for adaptability and integration with an organization's key systems more seamlessly. This would allow for less data entry on items that are generated from these other systems (i.e. coupon codes, WBS#, IRI categories, invoices approved, etc.)
To get the full benefit of this tool's reporting generation, it requires experience in creating Pivot tables. Therefore, unless you are verse in this skill, you have to require the help of Shopperations to create these or you wont get the full benefit of its reporting. This has led to some still maintain a manual tracker for some aspects of the business.
Leveraging multiple sources to plan, track and manage plans and financial aspects of my business

I like the reporting and calendar functions.
The advantage to keeping things in excel is we don't have to pull a report or work with a vendor to hone in for a tailored summary roll up. Shopperations helps to keep things organized but everything is input individually and there's isn't one customizable view where you can make edits while viewing the whole plan, for multiple retailers against each other for example.
Problems we're solving: Phasing for finance, this was solved. Figuring out inputting more granular coupon information into tactics.

It is such an easy tool to track your spends as well as project activity and work.
Better incorporation if integrated apps in planning and budgeting internally.
Budgeting and output work tracking for the most part.
A great software for using in product management and marketing management for standard consumer goods. You can automate many processes and focus on new or problematic products and let others go on autopilot.
The software is suited for packaged retail products, and if you do services it's barely applicable.
I used to work with this program when I was at a large corporation that had thousands of goods in the system - it did a good job keeping many of them running with little work required.
