Design Workshops in Minutes
Easy interface with drag and drop functionality, lots of methods in the library including all liberating structures. Abke to share with others via a weblink.
I have had some trouble duplicating blocks across sessions.
A tool for workshop agendas , replacing spreadsheets.
easy of use
the valuable library of templates and best practices
the reasonable and fair pricing model
unfortunately, I cannot complain - there is nothing to dislike :-)
I'm using sessionlab to design and plan design thinking workshops and webinars with my clients
Easy to start working with and preparing facilitation sessions. SessionLab provides a libary of facilitation tool and you can add your own interventions for use in different workshops. When starting, one can look a prepared workshop and also to get inspiration.
Additional information can be added in fields hided in side buttons. Especially as a beginner it shows too many option to hold information and that maybe confusing. It would be helpful, if I could tailor some of the template format to my needs.
Try the free version and see youself.
I deliver particiative Organisation Design Workshops and Org Design Trainings. During the Org Design workshop I need to adapt to emerging issues and make changes to next sessions. SessionLab supports this changes in a very easy way.
It is v essy to use. There are lots of resources. Shsring feature is v useful.
Nothing really! I think it is a great app.
It procides a slate to play and finize details.
The interface is very easy to use, with drag & drop actions, yet very powerful when you start using the various features. By using categories, sections and days, you can easily plan your training sessions. The library is also an invaluable tool to build a set of exercices and training content that you can reuse, for example if you have the same training in different formats.
Moreover, you can co-create sessions with other trainers thanks to collaboration features, and the export options ensure you will be able to use the session script in many different ways
I started using the tool when it had just started, and although I found limitations at the beginning, the team have been very responsive and supportive, and the tool has been growing at a steady pace and removed the few things that were missing
Planning training sessions and getting the right balance of sections to keep the trainees involved. What you don't see when doing your powerpoint presentation will be explicit when turned in a session script
Especially the ability to move Groups/Blocks and the Schedule is adopted.
To move Blocks/Groups to another day is quite uncomfortable. There is a "Copy Block to another session" but a "Move Block to ..." is missing.
The "hours of reformatting" when changing agenda or schedule.
The "easy to adopt" ability when re-using existing schedules as templates.
We like being able to work collaboratively, the flexibility of moving blocks, access to the library, the tracking of total session time. I could go on and on.
Sometimes cut and paste can behave in a wonky way. Sometimes my goal is to copy text and I accidentally move a block.
It allows us to quickly design and redesign programs, all while knowing how much time we are using, and doing it live. It speeds the process of session design
SL helps me save time when I am designing. Changes are very easy and it is wonderful that times are calculated automatically.
No back button.
Why are you forcing me to write more here - error!
Try it, you will never look back!
SL is a tool that allows me to stay creative when I design. Changes are easy. On other tools or documents, changes take some or lots of time, so I try to avoid them.
Working with others to co-design is a breeze! Very satisfying.
It fits the needs of any kind of single persons or even better, groups which plan events or training sessions together. The support, if needed, is very personal and responsive. Collaboration is easy, inviting people as well. Due to it being an online tool, its accessible from everywhere.
There is nothing I really dislike about the service. I wish it had a real undo button to go back in time 20 steps. But I know that’s not so easy to achieve on the web.
For me it solves the problem of collaboration with others on the an agenda/flow at the same time or at different times. It calculates al times and is very useful, if you do similar events over and over. Then you can make use of templates for complete days or single sessions. Over all its easy to understand and to use for everyone.
