The tool is laser-focused on providing server infrastructure monitoring. As such, the tools are simple to configure and the reports are straightforward. Plus, the pricing is extremely predictable.

The pricing scales linearly. You'd think they'd offer either volume discounts or some sort of reduced pricing if you pay for, say, a year in advance.

We needed a monitoring system that operates not only separately from our network but outside of our cloud provider's infrastructure as well. Furthermore, we didn't want the hassle of setting up a virtual machine on a second cloud provider. Server Density gave us low-hassle monitoring external to our network and infrastructure.

It was easy to set up and configure. The documentation was complete and straightforward. The charting made sense. It was easy to build an integration with their APIs. It was a pleasure to work with the CEO of Server Density.

The product was good at what it does, but you really want an APM solution. It's great for measuring uptime and load, but there are a lot of solutions for these problems.

It's easy to try and evaluate, but you probably want an APM solution, because their monitoring is more complete.

I need to make sure that my servers where running. I primarily used it to build and an integration with another product line, that could provide a more flexible alerting system.
