The ease of customizing what user can and cannot access.

The time-based filter takes a little getting used to. If you get the priorities in the wrong order it can open up access to websites you don't want them to have access to.

Securly Filter was a lifesaver for our school. Having the peace of mind that our students are protected from harmful websites. The benefit of having Securly Filter was recognized as soon as it was enabled on our devices. We were not able to log the student's access before we had Securly Filter.

The product works great, their DNS-based filtering is fast and effective. Changes happen immediately, no need to log off and back on. Their customer service is outstanding and they have been rock solid during the past three years of use.

Honeslty, their system is soo much better than the once it replaces. The only downside is their reporting could be better. I often need more details about a users search history than their reports provide. But it's a very small dislike. It's really a great product.

CIPA complinace, content filtering and MDM services. I love having all three of these requirements taken care of in a single service. It saves a lot of time for me and my staff.

I miss very much the ability to see students' estimated GEO location. This, however, is an API thing, with Google not allowing this feature to work any longer. So to be fair, this is not a Securly issue; it's on Google's end. Ah well...

We also very much like that Securly is working 24/7, even when the students are on their home network. Over the Covid 19 pandemic this was such a valuable asset to be able to secure and filter student activities no matter where they were located.

The tech support I get from Securly is Awesome. The people are very kind, friendly, and helpful. The dashboard is easy to navigate to set up my policies. The tech support, again, is very knowledgeable in helping me set up my policies.

Really not that much. It is easy to use.

Securlly filters my students Chormbooks both in school and when the students take the units home.

I really like how easy it is to see what's happening on our school-owned devices. With only a few clicks, I can have a report showing exactly what a student has been looking at. I also love how easy it is for parents to see what their child has been doing. The weekly summary is priceless, and many of our parents are grateful that we have it as an option.

I wish it was easier to active detailed tracking. This would allow me to do a deep dive into a student's internet usage without taking their device. Additionally, I would like the software to show details about the "click". Such as how long they were on that site, or what they clicked on while on the site.

It allows us to filter out inappropriate content even when the devices are not on our network. It allows us to monitor bullying and self-harm from a distance so that we are not right up in the student's face.

Its ease of management allows for our Administrative staff and teachers to quickly pick up on its features without a long learning curve.

At risk students, who are troubled and the warning signs of their issues get instantly notified to the proper Social Works and Counselors. They are less exposed to the more troubling pieces of the internet via the filtering options, and parents can see what their kids are doing on the Computers issued by the district

I appreciate that Securly is multi-platform management system. Being able to update and add apps with iPads, as well as have teachers monitor their students' chromebooks--AND get an email with their activity after class--is better than their competitors. Great customer service as well!

I wish it could do more with Android tablets--but it is something that might be available that I just haven't pursued thoroughly. Not as cheap as some of the competitors, but still money well spent.

Being able to customize a filter and adapt it to different Google OUs quickly. For iPads, having teachers be able to set up different layouts and apply them to iPads in grades K-2 simplifies their use.

The ability to apply different policies to different OU's in Google with ease. The information is searchable and provides invaluable information about how students are accessing content online.

I would really like the ability to block domains at the root level and that would block all sites. Some additional subcategories to allow more granular filtering controls for different age groups

Securly Filter is allowing our school district to control access to online content on student Chromebooks both on and offsite. This allows us piece of mind to trust that our students are only accessing content that is allowed and age appropriate.

Our parents receive weekly emails regarding their student's online activity and can log in through the parent portal anytime they wish to find this information.

Our technical team would like to have the ability to be more granular in blocking online content. For example, rather than blocking Facebook we would like to allow our district Facebook account for all students to view.

Securly allows us to block inappropriate online content. It also allows us to search our student's Google Drive for inappropriate content and message s depicting self-harm or harm to others.

Securly Filter helps to keep the students safe and secure by blocking inappropriate content. I like that I can set up different policies for different groups.

The monitoring and reporting help to know what the students are browsing. The reports can show what a student was doing when they were supposed to be focused in class. We also set up the parent reports so they can review their child's activity.

When a student receives a block message, I also like that it tells them why it is blocked.

I don't have anything that I dislike. The one thing I would like is to be able to create more customized reports that could automatically send me weekly updates. Other than that, I'm pleased with Securly.

Securly reports are very valuable when issues come up and we need to prove what a student has searched and which sites they are going to. I also like that it shows the blocked sites that they attempted to go to. I like when I receive alerts regarding self harm and safety. We have been able to help a couple of students that we had no idea needed it. Because of that, it is invaluable.
